I am wondering can we see the lottery result from Astro? One of the shop sales person told me nowadays no people use teletext to see lottery result coz most of people are using Astro on their LCD TV to see lottery result. Teletext can only received thru antenna? Astro can c the result? How? I know internet can get it easily but i am trying to make it for my parents which zero-to-internet. Don flame me ya. Thanks.

no need to be a rocket scientist, just switch on computer and the results will be displayed automagically, just one button job, anyone can do it on a windows machine

after i taught my mum a bit bout internet... until nw oso, she stil cannot 'do it'... old ppl not so interested la i think... i think TS parents same la like my mum....

Dun like my dad, though to him the internet...now he is glued to youtube!!

He say got many very old movies in there..impossible to find anywhere.

But downside is every time call me up to ask about computer problem....lucky for remote software...

what software you are using?

teach you mum to press power-on button on the computer, that's it, no other steps

of cause you need to setup your computer first, place your browser link in windows start-up folder, and set your browser to load game result page when first launch, when done reading, just press the computer power button again and it will shut down properly, not even need to use the mouse or keyboard

Sorry guys, my parent dono how to use pc. Anyhow, do anyone know how to check the lottery result on Astro instead of using sms or internet? The sales person told me can check from astro oh.

Seems like the greatest and brightest minds in Lowyat can't even answer that question...(maybe we all not 4D kaki)

Best is you check with the salesman out again....and when you get the answer, the right thing to do is post it in here so we got something new to learn everyday.

your parent don't have to know how to use computer to check the result, just need to learn how to press a single button, I am sure they can master that, one press to switch on, another press after reading the result to switch off, VERY SIMPLE

i think TS parents not interested la... bcos of tat, 'simple things' oso don1 2 do...

alternative is to buy night edition chinese newspaper, they provide the result slip for free
or pay 10¢ for the slip
