why you need that for?

if you're planning to use that together with hdmi, and tht converter for optical out... then i suggest you no need to waste the money

you can use back your old component connector which already came with optical out, but both HDMI and the component connector won't fit in at the same time, but that can be solved easily with a little tweak of the component connector's case.

I think the tweak was posted somewhere in the forum before, search a bit and you shall find it

but if you're console is the arcade edition, then you better go buy the converter as arcade's AV connector only comes with the lousy composite connector, or you can search around for the 2nd hand component connectors in the garage sales, I saw someone selling it
