came in late in 88th minute and shut the match down, what a day for brandao, I couldn't believe it was happened, millito's goal really lived up all the hope but the closure timing went just like in the first leg. but, still credits to the lads for the hard work and chances created. I guess mandanda really regret the red card, he's unlucky with that, motm for me

Marseille didnt even get a better chance before the goal, what a bad luck. Sneijder and Milito miss in the first half really cost us.

Lucio miss out to head out the ball .. he should clear the ball as soon as possible and far away from the goal area....

To add more salt, Coutinho is doing very good in Spain. I dont think he would like it here in Italy anymore. Luckily just a loan though. We may just salvage a fair position in the league and wait for reinforcements in June. Hopefully we can spend big.

Though since the start of the loan I already disagree with him being loaned out, I didn't take it as a salt, it's good to see he proves his quality and if he keeps playing like that it makes no excuse to ignore him again next season.

A win against on-fire Juventus that will put an end to their undefeated runs this season in Serie-A will be a sweet incentive to the fans out of this crap season, but that's very unlikely. Realistically, best to hope for next match is just not being humiliated, our first outing against them which ended 1-2 earlier this season, scoreline didn't reflect how we were actually humiliated by them with the poor defending. Finger crossed, hope the miracle will come. I hope they'll get the result that I wish on my birthday biggrin.gif

not Ranieri fault imo. we have changed from Benitez to Leonardo to GPG to Ranieri in within a year - that show there's something wrong in the management. the players just couldnt cut it anymore. we need fresh players.

Added on March 26, 2012, 5:17 amgigi cesar pirlo vidal were awesome.

we started first half poorly and Juve clearly bombarded heavily from our left defense, their poor finishing made the game stay 0-0. We were improving in first half and Juve's players started to look shaky due to our heavy close down but Gigi had impressive performance to cancel out our threats. Game stays 0-0.

second half, we did almost nothing to score, in other way Juve found effective way to exploit our high defensive-line, was a really poor defending set-piece on Caceres' goal, but ADP's goal sums up how they adapted to the game since the beginning of the second half, man on the second half for me is clearly Vidal.

didn't expect much, got unsurprising result, wasn't a bad performance by the lads despite those silly mistakes were still there, simply beaten by the better team.

here we are, 8th..

i think we played quite good on the 1st half, we pressed all over the pitch, and then we kind of lost our cool after the hour mark. maybe tireness i dont know. but imo Deki shouldnt be playing the whole 90 minutes. the 2nd goal pretty much sum up our defensive frailty this season. doh.gif

Poor Ranieri sacked. I thought he gonna stay since Moratti did back him up before. AVB is possible replacement based on ^ article.

yea, we pressed heavily, was pleased and afraid at the same time, IINM we played with starting eleven averaged age of 31, that sudden drop in second half was much expected before. Playing 2 static strikers and another 1 forward with Deki as one that played deepest in the middle didn't help when we already lost numbers in midfield before the subs, IMO.

you're welcome bro smile.gif

Stramaccioni brought the team to win NextGen series was something, it wasn't Ajax, wasn't Barcelona, but Inter who won it, it meant a lot to the club since I've almost never thought about our youth when I'm thinking about Inter. We were trashed by Tottenham 1-7 at the start of the tournament but progressing since then until winning it. But clearly to appoint him as manager is still considered as big gambling by Morratti, much safer choice was the assistant manager, Giuseppe Baresi, I think he's already giving up this season to chase nothing and made a shot to appoint him, cheap and exciting alternative, easy to kick out if performance won't turn out to be good. I just wish he won't be just kicked out if he won't get performance, give him back to his position to handle our Primavera.

Wish the best for Stramaccioni, hope he'll do the senior team wonder too smile.gif

GK Raffaele Di Gennaro and FW Marko Livaja who were vital in our NextGen title are included in 21 players for Genoa game. Handling the dinosaurs will be tricky for him, hope both parties will work for the best of the club.
