Tottenham's £9m offer for Babel may be insane but Liverpool are using that cash to buy Carlton Cole. I wonder who's got the worse deal?

QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ Aug 31 2010, 09:46 PM) is the babel deal confirmed? nope some reports saying he is heading for Tot and some said West Ham.... but odds is saying that the deal is almost done for C.Cole (with Babel going to WH)

Not only have Liverpool signed Konchesky but they have also struck deals for youngsters Suso and Adam Hajdu. The former is a young striker from Cadiz, the latter joins from MTK Budapest.
*insua might leave on loan

Insua to Galatasaray most likely. Perhaps a deal for Turan could be on the cards?

Chris Murphy: Among the astonishing fact file about Paul Konchesky on Liverpool's website is this priceless piece of info: "Paul is brother-in-law to John Terry's elder brother, who is also named Paul."

it's not a bad deal to get konchesky in....he's one of the proven left back in BPL..he play well with fulham...so why not he come here n prove himself at least for this season...since we still not get new owner yet..once we get the new owner..then we can talk about bring in 5 star player. i rate koncesky almost the same as warnock, insua, and wayne bridge....

Birmingham have confirmed the signing of Aleksander Hleb on a season long loan. Even their own website calls it a "major transfer coup," and I don't think they are far wrong. Alex McLeish: "Hleb is a top quality player - one who at one stage we'd only actually dreamed about really."
SOCCERNET SOURCES: West Ham have turned down an offer from Liverpool for Carlton Cole and Ryan Babel is on his way to Spurs.
