Man City face Juventus
this is a Good tie the rest of the story Liverpool were handed a tricky draw in Group K, where they will face Steaua Bucharest, Napoli and Utrecht. The Italian club, who signed Andrea Dossena from Liverpool in January, were one of the toughest sides in Pot Three. Liverpool played Steaua in the UEFA Cup in the 2003-04 season, drawing 1-1 in Romania thanks to a goal from Djimi Traore and winning the return leg of the second-round tie 1-0, with Harry Kewell scoring the only goal of the game. Only captain Steven Gerrard remains from the squad that contested the second leg. Other notable aspects of the draw include a clash between reigning champions Atletico Madrid and Michael Ballack's Bayer Leverkusen in Group B, Sevilla, Paris Saint Germain and Borussia Dortmund meeting in Group J and Ricardo Quaresma returning to Porto with Besiktas in Group L. those good players tat were good once came to Anfield, fared BADLY under RB
and now, any player tat come to Anfield, if signed by RH will play VERY GOOD under this Super Manager... the reason is because RH is an English Man he can DAMN VERY WELL converse wif the players wat he really wants in them, not like RB lousy english tat i dun even understands |

QUOTE(triple02 @ Aug 28 2010, 02:36 PM) Its been a long time since we signed a well known CM and im quite stoked with the signing with Meireles to be honest, decent signing indeed. Well done Roy though im still aghast with the arrival of Konchesky wif this , bring on the best and we will deliver Meireles ![]() Agger's found himself a roommate with something in common... That aside... With the impending signing of Meireles and Konchesky ------------------------Reina--------------------------------------- ---------Johnson- Carra- Agger -Konchesky ----------------------Meireles-------------------- ---------------Kuyt- Gerrard-Cole-Jovanovic---------------- ------------------------Torres------------------------------ Subs: Jones Skrtel Poulsen Ngog Lucas Babel Aurelio With either Cole or Gerrard supporting Torres upfront..I stll cant get out of my head the fact that Roy is signing Konchesky |

A WIN TONITE is very important.............
it will breathe confidence into the team and the New Manager's vision RH is doing wat RB din do when he took over as Manager...........ie, to bring in his players in his first two mth........ RH is shipping out most of his fringe players and bought some key players he feel tat is lacking in RB team if he happens to win any throphy this season, he can prodly claims tat HE WON IT WIF HIS KEY PLAYERS RB din won the CL wif his Key Players Houllier's man tat won tat throphy |

QUOTE(sahathai @ Aug 29 2010, 08:24 PM) Somehow, Rafa will always be thankful for bring in the like of Torres, Luis, Reina, Xabi, Masch, Fowler, Yossi, Agger, Skrtel, Johnsy... despite the fact he wasted plenty more money on those fringe players. of the lot, only Torres and Reina is really goodhe should hav bot Simao, Barry and Villa instead as those players at tat time was not costly.......... he wasted a lot on Aqua Alonso SHOULD not hav been sold. |

QUOTE(solstice818 @ Aug 30 2010, 01:30 AM) Second that. Misplace passes and didn't do much at all.Worse than Lucas in terms of performances. worth reading againAnyway, overall, the performance we produced was disastrous. Besides Torres who was trying his best, the rest were practically invisible throughout the match. This is what I think of their performance. Reina: Looked calm in front of goal.Didn't do much as most of the shots were tame shots. Rating: 6 Glenny: Was poor in general. Keep insisting to beat the player despite being stopped by the opponents repeatedly throughout the match. His PREDICTABLE dribbling skill makes it easy for the opponent. Rating: 5 Carra: Gave his best in the match.Made few decent tackles. Nothing more. His lack of pace always means that some player gonna beat the shit out of him.Being outpaced by the opponents at least 2 times in the game. Rating: 5 Skrtel: I can see that he was trying to give his all in the match. However, this is not wrestling match. For that kind of dragging and pushing he made, he could easily cost us few penalties. He is lucky to escape the cards and the penalties because the referee is linear enough to let him go.Also, in one of the corner for West Brom, he actually lose the target he supposed to guard. Poor defending from him.The positive is, that shot he made.Pretty close... Rating: 5 Agger: Being played in LB yet again.Out of position from time to time. Most of the time, I saw him in the box rather than in the flank which is why in the first half, a lot of the long ball from West Brom was aimed at the left flank and not the right flank. The good thing is, he reads the game well and tackles well too. That compensate for the lack of pace in him. Rating: 5 Kuyt: Was better in second half. His assist was well deserved. Well placed crossing.Gave in an ok performance. Rating: 6 Poulsen: Misplaced passes.Practically invisible in the game. Rating: 4 Lucas: Looks decent in passing the ball in the second half. Could be better if he can slide in more tackles.Good run in getting Morrison sent off. Rating: 5 Gerrard Put in few delighted passes that would have won us the game if Torres scored them. However, he seems unmotivated throughout the match.Pretty much invisible besides the few quality passes. Rating: 5 Jovanovic: I am starting to like him. Always try his best on pitch. Pity him get dragged down by the leg for no reason. However, one thing I noticed is that he lacks the finishing. Two times he got the chance in the box, he blew them wide. One during the Arsenal match. Another one, tonight. Overall, a decent performance. Rating: 6 Torres: Kinda impressed when I saw Torres chasing the ball, tackling and closing down the opponents.Worth mentioning is that his understanding with Gerrard is still as good as the past. His performance? His 50th goal at Anfield says it all.For the numbers of chances we created for him, I consider him to play well. Rating:7 ========================================================================== P.S: Cant find a better day. THREE POINTS Torres' 50th goal at anfield. Our 2000th victory New Number 4 Tottenham, MC all lose. Good post Keep it Up mate |
