QUOTE(lookig4room @ Nov 19 2010, 01:56 PM) Hello guys, Is putochip123 a trustworthy person to buy your laptop from? This thread is his thread. He asked me to bank in the full amount of rm 5300, then the laptop will be shipped to my home. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1634873&hl=I find it really risky to bank in rm 5300 to someone I never deal with before. Is there anyone who have done deal with putochip123 before here? Can you tell me if putochip123 did a good, honest deal with you? He should be trustable since he got so many good feedback. Added on November 19, 2010, 2:00 pmQUOTE(Adin @ Nov 19 2010, 01:59 PM) He should be trustable since he got so many good feedback. BTW, just got my G73JW-XA1 today after 10 days order...but I bought thru other forumer (bro tamade), good service provided Bro, Jeffery, pls add me to the owner list... Anyone did a clean install on yours G73 or G53? I mean "clean" is install the Windows 7 hp then only install the drivers and software that Asus provided (Not the recovery from asus). Any problem with that. I heard some guys did that but the top left 3 buttons will not working properly after that.

QUOTE(Jeffrey1987 @ Nov 22 2010, 02:52 PM) For me, nope. But I plan to do it once I manage to buy a SSD for myself. (hopefully) Actually I am going to install the ssd. So, a clean install will be better as too many asus bloatwares inside. Added on November 22, 2010, 3:52 pmQUOTE(thxxht @ Nov 22 2010, 03:15 PM) all the hotkey/button applications can be found on the driver DVD that comes with your purchase. if some are missing, you can download them at ASUS's site. I know asus "Splendid" is for the r.o.g button, the lights button is probably tied to Asus hotkey, not sure about the twin turbo button. Added on November 22, 2010, 3:17 pmcan anyone recommend any messenger type bag for the G73 ? or a good place to buy them (in malaysia) ? Thanks....and actually what is the function of twin turbo mode button. I press and nothing happened. This post has been edited by Adin: Nov 22 2010, 03:52 PM

QUOTE(Jeffrey1987 @ Nov 22 2010, 08:07 PM) May I know what is the brand of SSD you want to buy? What is the capacity? intel x25m 160gb. I know it is not as good as vertex 2 but good thing it is far more "affordable".. The problem now is my g73jw don't have the second hdd bracket. So, I have to "fabricate" it myself based on the link "Guide to Disassembling Asus G53Jw and Install 2nd HDD." Of course, I will use other materials compare to the guy which only use cardboard... QUOTE(Jeffrey1987 @ Nov 23 2010, 04:08 AM) Wow. Why you need so many notebooks? Added on November 23, 2010, 4:09 amHow much is your Intel X25m SSD? I thought it is better than the OCZ Vertex 2? Oh yea, why your G73Jw don't have the 2nd HDD bracket? Previously, you only installed one HDD? I bought from one of the LYN member. What I read from internet the performance of Vertes 2 is better than intel x25m and intel one is the mainstream product. Somemore the price for Vertex 2 is far more expensive from the intel. Model XA1 only come with 1 x 750gb hdd. And the second slot is totally empty. This post has been edited by Adin: Nov 23 2010, 10:23 AM

QUOTE(DoubleU @ Nov 27 2010, 06:36 PM) haha for me mouse > Logitech G700 (poisoned by jeffery) mousepad > Roccat Taito... although i saw a generic one for RM20 which i quite liked, but its bigger than the roccat one... why do people want so big mousepads? headset > Roccat Kave + creative 5.1 Surround soundblaster cooling pad... i think i'm gonna stick with my small Gigabyte pro pad.... its for 14", fitted my S42 perfectly, but thanks to the flat G53 bottom, its quite stable, plus its somewhat effective, how effective i'll have to do a proper benchmark. Now I need to settle my old S42... I have a S42 as well. Now collecting dust in my room. Not sure what to do with it.. Added on November 27, 2010, 8:29 pmQUOTE(Jeffrey1987 @ Nov 27 2010, 06:49 PM) Jeffrey1987 is spreading his poison everywhere . . . wait till you see Razer Tron . . . perhaps you will be poisoned twice . . . Previously, I also reluctant to buy big mousepad such like Roccat Sota but it is comfortable enough to have a big mousepad on your comp. table. The only downside is not suitable for mobility purpose. You get the Tron from ebay? I checked amazon and only preorder is available, price USD149.99....
