I have few questions here. I have placed my pre-order on G53JW from xoticpc. But I can see most of ASUS G Series members here purchased from gentechpc. I find out that these two resellers are reputable and trusted. I chose xoticpc over gentechpc because the price they offered is cheaper.

So I wanna ask u guys do our customs charge any fee on notebook product when the item is quoted in its actual value and not gift?

Just to share that I finally can meet my G53 in person for a great big hug. The laptop works perfectly and can run most of the latest games in highest resolution smoothly.

Following are my spec & some tests :

To sum up , I'm very pleased with this machine. The built quality, stealth fighter exterior design are outstanding, ultra bright screen, awesome gaming performance, velocity responsive backlit keyboard, extremely quiet under regular load, moderate weight and size for a portable gaming machine.

My only complain is the heat production , the gpu temperature reaches 90°C in Furmark test and touches 83°C after 5++ hours of games play (Medal of Honor 2010 & Darksiders with highest setting). However, I've ordered CM U2 notebook cooler and hope it does a good job. On the other hand, the webcam is inadequate and very poor quality.

anyway, i see that the G700 is wireless mouse right? isnt' it too weighy?
because i do have wireless mouse/keyboard using on my desktop, but in the end of the day, i only use the keyboard LOL as i dont like much on the mouse, too weighy and make my hands feels tired.

Thanks Jeffrey! That's my great pleasure to join this family! Yup, I think I was lucky enough to be included in the 1st batch shipment of this mini stealth fighter, it took me 3 months
to wait, however definitely worth it. 
DoubleU, I have same thought too and it cost usd75 to do the re-paste. Hence I take a pass! However I may do it myself once the warranty period is over.
Cheesenium, you are right about this. I think will live with this since it's not a big deal coz so far I didn't encounter any issues while running those latest games & applications.

hey jeffrey, did you use paypal e-check? My paypal account is linked to my Australia bank account but I'm going back to Malaysia soon, will probably be doing the ordering and stuff from Malaysia but does that means I need a new paypal account for Malaysia address? Is it possible for us to get that 3% discount using bank payment? I've read like it's possible with paypal e-check.. hmm

I don't like those "blur blur" effect as well, prefer my screen looks bright,crisp & sharp!
