erm if i were to use a 85mm lens (on APS-C) or a 135mm on FF. how far do i stand from the subject to shoot a fullbody potrait?? <-- making future plans whistling.gif
user posted image
if you want something like this to a full body shot, that would be 20metres minimum for 85mm on apsc

user posted image
its so much easier to work with 85 on FF

still depends on preference, as some ppl prefer 135mm for portraits.
but 85mm on aps-c would be eq to 130+ on 35mm fmt

a300 + 1.4/85ZA , 1/125 F2.2 iso400 flash fired

can be used for stage events as well

anyone going atria warehouse sale?? a850 very tempting lo...but then that means changing lenses range
*
yeah.. was there
congrats on your step to familyhood wink.gif

yeah,a850 is very tempting.. you can always use aps-c mode on it if you lack FF lens.. the resolution and controls are total in different world from my a300 brows.gif
while theres some rumors of new sony FF at photokina.. maybe you should wait for further price drop

im pretty much hibernates on sundays LOL.
the new sony ff is still low tier rumors. but you can always go test a850 brows.gif
despite a850 being older than the 5dm2, but it still does the job nicely smile.gif

e-jump, nice shots again, my liking, u shoud using the 85mm?? how ru enjoying the ff view on a850?? today just raba raba at shop, the screen is so besar i can fit everything in worr
*
Thanks
yeap, im using the 85mm 90% on my FF..
28mm is too wide on FF LOL, as opposed on aps-c.
Yes, the a850 ovf is big, and the LCD screen is big as well. the intelligent priview with histogram is helpful to tweak my exposure and WB.
summore, got joystick.
so i need to save monies to get VG with joystick too LOL

now i suck so bad in composition because playing at wide open F, focus+recompose became out of focus edi LOL doh.gif
to be on safe side, i stay with local AF spots thus resulting cropping here and there doh.gif

The events usually held at colleges/uni as theyre hosted by the clubs in that respective uni/college. so yearly theres lots of events by each uni.
The ones in public area ususally have bigger organizers/sponsors.

im a fan of anime/cosplay, been following such event since 2006.
