Nokia should just abandon their proprietary 2.5mm charger for USB charging instead. I have 4 phones now and 3 of them does USB charge. Only C7 cant. So troublesome...

eh? C7 can't charge via usb? i think can.. I always charge via USB hmm.gif GSMarena also said can hmm.gif

IMO, symbian still suitable. they can't just abandon this. just, make this as lower or middle end market. symbian is good for me as it used less power processor, less battery consumption. one more, ppl should start their smartphone with symbian IMO laugh.gif

Well, Symbian exist for years and yet, they are not able to fix the core issue which is the serious firmware bug. They actually DID make a lot of changes to Symbian but it is still the same as in performance.

Probably, Symbian is just not suitable for today's world. For smart phone beginners, they would have a bad impression about all smart phones if they start off with Symbian.

I support Nokia + WP7  thumbup.gif

really? actually, C7 is my first smartphone. it is good for me laugh.gif I'm actually very satisfied with my decision to start with symbian rather than android after vast reading about both OS for nearly 4months rclxub.gif hope that nokia will not abandon symbian lor. continue to provide updates nod.gif this is one efficient OS. I can't imagine how android/iOS will perform if given 680Mhz processor, and 1200mAh battery

I have very bad experience with SE. so, no SE for me, maybe forever

QUOTE(BuFung @ Feb 11 2011, 07:31 PM)
enough talking of efficient OS etc...  they are plenty of 600Mhz android phone in the market..  just that most of them are A8 but Nokia love ARM11...  like ppl using i7...  Nokia prefer Pentium 4....

hm.. I want to test my sis' wildfire. but still don't have the time yet sad.gif

the scenario happen 3 years ago....  MS realise it 2 yrs back n develop wp7.....
when nokia said there is symbian3 i tot there is a big change....  when the n8 annouce I seriously  disappointed wt it spec...

but nvm, still have some die hard fans keep thinking nokia is the leader, symbian is the best until today.... thumbup.gif

@vira, symbian will stall still from now on... nokia own team will be busy on hardware n integration to wp7 part....
*
I'm not really a die hard fans. I just sick with SE b4 make me want to try nokia hmm.gif well, maybe will stick with this phone for some time. the build is quite ok for me. I used it most for call and sms though. can bear with the weak point till now. lets see how things will going on until a year more.

Hi c7 users,

Have a question here. Will the phone heat up after chatting sometime using it where it can be unbearable/uncomfortable to the ear?
*
em.. mine also a bit heat up around the camera part. but only bit noticeable warm. mine was due to games, apps, browsing (all for more than 30 minutes+++)

QUOTE(surefire @ Feb 23 2011, 07:31 PM)
hi all c7 user,
i was planning to get one myself but after reading the c7 mobo problem, i was  a bit sceptical if i shud.
has nokia fix the problem if i get the latest batch now..anyone any idea?
thanks guys icon_question.gif
*
em.. mine was the one with the mobo problems. last time for the mobo problems, the long wait for the repair was because there is short in replacement mobo spare parts. and I think, this few days, not much reported problems were heard. maybe it is a bit gamble hmm.gif but I'm sure, it is around 1/30 now to get the fail mobo rclxub.gif

UI, camera, no. of apps, screen size, processor, is considered downgrade.
C7 is better in terms of screen quality only.. hmm.gif

btw, why want to try symbian after android? usually ppl do upgrade to android d now icon_rolleyes.gif

guys, can u all completed all anna updates? I only managed to complete the first primary one (that changed the outlook to anna of course, and some more changes) but can't update with the other two (anna update 1/2 and anna update 2/2).
after googling, I try a hard reset. but unfortunately, problem become worse, still cannot update, and the software update has lost. like, b4 hard reset I can still see the update list. but now, no more edi. is it because nokia want to release the software continent by continent back since I heard that there are massive request for the update, cause the software update to be code wrecked sweat.gif
