QUOTE(joules @ Apr 24 2011, 08:52 AM) really love my C7, thought it is perfect and just nice for my needs. but what to do, i lost it on friday when picking up my dry cleaning. accidentally dropped everything when the girl shoved me my dry clean, later when i reached home only i realised my C7 is not with me. must be there, right? i went again and asked nicely but the girl immediately became angry and very defensive. she practically shouted and swore at me!!! huh, all signs of guilt??? no wonder my number immediately became unreachable. so sad,i only asked nicely if she saw it on her floor. hard to trust foreign help. Buying a smartphone has nothing to do with the risk of losing it.. whatever. but the C7 is gone. u guys out there, take very good care of yours. think the C7 is like magnet or mouth watering candy to prying eyes. now, should i buy another smartphone and risk losing it again? C7 was my first, had it only for 2 months. if i am, should i buy another C7, or upgrade, or downgrade??? am already not very comfortable with basic phone. oh my.... this is so hard. Anyway, there are much better choices if you are considering a smartphone.. |

QUOTE(joules @ Apr 24 2011, 10:03 AM) a little bit of social will do, but gps thingy like ovi maps was becoming a necessity, tend to rely on it a lot. Iphone is easy to learn, but everything cost a few bucks here n there unless you cracked it. And there are some restriction to what you can and cant do with certain features on the phone. For Android, I love it because you only need a gmail account and then you can sync your contacts, fb, emails etc together. Apps are mostly free because they rely on apps advertising. However, Android phone only works if you have internet connection which means you need to sign up for data plan. You can try out the higher end device (see the pricetag) and judge it yourself. Currently Google Maps which is free btw, dont support navigation for Malaysia map. Symbian is at the end of the road. Nokia cant do a damn thing to it anymore except cosmetic upgrades. |

QUOTE(joules @ Apr 24 2011, 11:45 AM) thx, will keep these in mind when looking for new one. It works without data, just that with data package, its much more complete. i have never tried android. so will it not work at all if i,say, switch off data or simply, at a place where i can only use gsm? not even for calls and texts?? Open your world to endless possibilities by trying other devices outside of tiny Nokia world. There's nothing to be afraid of. You will be amazed. No problem for me.
If you cant find any updates, try updating your Qt related stuffs. I think someone posted them on N8 forum. One big problem with Nokia Symbian 3 is Qt headache. It was a major component but it was not included by default. |

QUOTE(wuwah @ Aug 21 2011, 12:44 AM) Can be used for accessories as well. Nokia has a speaker, Play 360 and a headphone BH504 which has NFC builtin. They have announced more but not sure when will they be released. I rather pair manually than pay the premium. Not sure if there are difference between NFC implementation different phone makers. QUOTE(de4thscythell @ Oct 9 2011, 07:39 PM) Hello everyone, Are you sure its getting data via the WiFi?How to configure the wifi on C7 ah? My sis use her C7 to connect to public wifi in shopping mall, but her phone prepaid credits runs out after that. The telco somehow charging for the wifi? How to prevent that from happening? Hope anyone can help Thanks One way to find out is look for the data connection icon. If there are arrows moving under the G or E or 3G symbol at the network signal strength area, that means you are using mobile network to online instead of WiFi. If you want to stop your phone from using mobile network at all, then you should change it in the settings. Settings>Connectivity>Settings... Change both setting in Data Use in Home Country and Data Use When Abroad to WLAN Only. Added on November 27, 2011, 11:02 pm QUOTE(apecx92 @ Nov 26 2011, 12:42 AM) indeed is very snappy but when will they release it?This post has been edited by andrekua: Nov 28 2011, 12:28 AM |
