Erm, Nokia can shrink Symbian department and used it to keep their attractiveness in the lower to mid end market. It was well polished to fend off other phones from others as long as they can include a good camera to fend off SE.

Perhaps they should just concentrate on Meego first and then get a hang of it to see where it lies in the market. I dont think you will see Android or WP7 soon. It will be 1-2 years depending on the popularity of Meego.

Who cares what happened to Nokia anyway?

Well, Symbian exist for years and yet, they are not able to fix the core issue which is the serious firmware bug. They actually DID make a lot of changes to Symbian but it is still the same as in performance.

Probably, Symbian is just not suitable for today's world. For smart phone beginners, they would have a bad impression about all smart phones if they start off with Symbian.

really? actually, C7 is my first smartphone. it is good for me I'm actually very satisfied with my decision to start with symbian rather than android after vast reading about both OS for nearly 4months hope that nokia will not abandon symbian lor. continue to provide updates this is one efficient OS. I can't imagine how android/iOS will perform if given 680Mhz processor, and 1200mAh battery

Not sure what is the big reaction now. Symbian will still continue at least for few years and by the time, most of us would have probably change phone. Every OS have good and weakness. Look at Motorola, when they started with android, everyone went for it. But later the got dissapointed, those who got milestone, milestone XT, no update for future android version, so most of them are stuck with the current os with no update. Same goes with SE with android, no further update.

I bought a C7 today from BBS in digital mall. when i tried to call my friend on the way back the phone speker doesn work ( i can hear the my friend's voice but he cant hear mine) call back BBS , told me have to send to Nokia Care. Send to Nokia care told me have to wait for 3 weeks as the phone was not registered yet.. this is very furstrating , paid RM 1360 , phone doesnt work and have to wait for at least 3 weeks.. pls advice me what should i do .. should i go tribunal to claim for a new phone againts BBS?

I got a C7 now.. anyone having HOT problem? The phone gets hot VERY EASY. And it's still hot now.. what should I do to solve it?!

Some ppl they only can condemn stuff they can't afford but u notice they don't condemn stuff they can afford because that the only thing they have. Sad huh? Anyway the phone hot is normal especially Internet usage.

actually for this i kinda agree with BuFung.  RM 1360 for this phone, IMO the price is rather steep as well... given the price, there are other better phones from manufacturers.. sorry to say, but i kinda think C7 model is rather unneeded, it's has the smaller brother C6-01 that does similar things for a cheaper price, or the bigger brother N8 that has extremely good camera that makes it stand out.. i still think if u want C7, might as well get C6 since both also similar. So to me, RM1360, either save some money by getting C6-01, or put a little more cash to get N8, or just better off getting a mid range android that gives better experience?

daily wifi (home wifi) ~12 hours with very less active use (only mail retrieve in auto mode)
average ~1 hour angry bird everyday
daily normal sms/phone usage

refer above usage pattern... the c7 last her ~3days per full charge...
