Well, I think its safe to say that part of the fault is Blizzard themselves... and I fear the trend for current game developers to adopt "log in to our system first before you can play multiplayer" is gonna affect future tournaments for every game...

Tourney not failed. Just that the FTZ connection have issues. Period IMO. But on the bright side, registration is still open for those who could not make it today! So get your fingers crossed!

As I've said previously, SMM kinda fail
 But then, they will shoot down whoever who said bad about them. I just felt bad for those who brought their PC to FTZ yesterday, and end up with nothing to play with. Best part is participants asked to play StarCraft 1 while waiting for the issue to be resolved. I LOLed so badly upon hearing that. It's mostly organizer's fault for not doing their own test prior to the tournament day. Last minute work don't bear success after all |

I was supposed to be the very first one competing, me and my opponent managed to start our game, imagine finally being able to play, was so anxious at the load screen, then once load finish, instantly both disconnected and automatically logged out.......that was pretty much the end of the event......
