i've done the formatting of my 4GB thumb drive, downloaded the system update file, and copied all the files into the root of the folder, exactly like how they explained in xbox.com.
but when i plug my thumbdrive into the xbox and turn it on, nothing happens. i go straight into my dashboard as usual. how come? |

fat32!!
Added on September 22, 2010, 7:43 pmThere are 11 files, file number from 0-7, su2007, and a sytstem manifest. total space taken is 83MB. i formatted the thumbdrive via right click-format. set to FAT32 (default) and default allocation size. then i extract the 11 files contained in the folder of the $systemupdate9199.zip. did i make any mistakes? i updated my dashboard to the 9199 version, but i'm trying to get the media update for my avi files as well. it says that i need to get into Xbox LIVE first, which i tried like what all the sifus here wrote.
when i as creating the account for my xbox live, i was requested to enter my Windows Live ID, which i also did. then, it stated that my region does not support xbox live or smth like that. |
