Any of you guys encounter the engine hard to start up randomly, doesnt matter if its cold or warm? Car is only 7 months old, battery going to kong? Usually it can start up with 1 crank though.

QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Feb 1 2011, 02:52 PM) Wow... I thought it couldn't happen... in fact.... It happen..... I actually saw my new Saga FL parking in front of my house when I came back home during lunch time..... I thought I can only get this car after CNY.... Good prosperity.... to my new year..... new car for new year!!... Wohoooo~~~ Congrats! Enjoy your new car smell.. QUOTE(wiind @ Feb 1 2011, 03:55 PM) hey guys...new driver here...my new FL have been running for 750km now...i'm wondering can I go for 1st service now? or it is a little bit early consider that it still got 250km to go before 1000km? I'm thinking so bcoz I'm having holiday now so it might be a good idea for me settle it before I get back to work again... Should be nothing wrong with sending your car earlier for service. Or you can drive around town to clock your mileage a little more before sending it for service. |

Gonna wait until my warranty expire or a couple of years more and try them out. QUOTE(wiind @ Feb 5 2011, 07:09 PM) would you guys recommend repaint considering my car's condition? or some touch up work will do? If your paint didnt chip off, try polishing the scratches. Might able to remove some of the scratches.[attachmentid=2029853] |

QUOTE(bad melatonin @ Feb 13 2011, 12:59 AM) u send ur car to sc at what interval, 5000km or 10000km? Mineral oil only last for max 5000km, semi syn 7-8000km and fully syn 10000km under our climate. This is the recommended intervals.let say if i were to send for every 10000km, which engine oil shud i opt for? fully synthetic? or does Petronas Mach5 (20w-50 SM) shud suffice for 10000km interval? I've asked my SC once about the 10000km intervals, and she said you have to follow your first 1000, 5000 and 10000km services since the labour is free. Then after that you can opt for fully syn oils. However, some forummers said that even though the oil lasts for 10000km, but the ciplak proton oil filter wont. So u will have to change the oil filter after 5000km. Im not too sure though. |

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Feb 23 2011, 04:34 PM) For me Wira 1.6L auto -> Saga 1.3L auto consider downgrade. Especially he always travel to Genting. Yeah, the difference could be painful at first. I downgraded from a Satria 1.8 manual to a Saga 1.3 auto and the pickup at first is I think Campro engine contribute to the extra weight, becos is alloy. In terms of weight, Saga = Vios, Wira = Myvi. After awhile, i'm used to it.. Its more leg friendly in traffic jams |

QUOTE(bad melatonin @ Feb 24 2011, 07:31 PM) at 1st tot of getting saga fl for my wife but after considering d total ownership cost (service/maintenance... etc), imho its not cheap so i cancelled saga fl purchase & getting other car instead. d best part is i already book d car & loan already approved, & tis morning called d salesperson to cancel. sure d fella bengang 1 It is expensive probably because you are referring to 10,000km intervals? The fully synthetic oils at SC already cost RM200+. After your warranty ends, you can opt to service it outside, you'll save more $$$. anyw, this is what i gathered frm d service manuals, hope TS cud put it in d 1st post in order to keep this thread as informative as possible so that u guys cud plan ur budget for ur future intervals. cheerio... [attachmentid=2060360] You can refer to this as well, recommended service intervals by Proton Edar for auto. The intervals for ATF change is 20k, 40k is too long i guess.. http://www.proton-edar.com.my/icare/IAFM_1.3_A_SAGA.pdf QUOTE(wiind @ Feb 24 2011, 08:02 PM) anyone here know any spare part shop or supplier where I can get tail lamp for Saga FL? mine is broken due to accident and proton sc quoted me RM500++ (only left) Since the FL is quite new, it might take some time until it reaches the spare part shops..
