For me, the best way to keep your guitar strings bright for a longer period of time is to wipe off the strings before and after playing the guitar. make it a habit.

Additionally, i prefer to put the guitars back to their casing and close it while you are not playing it rather than let it hang outside on a guitar rack.

Protip: take some silicon gel (but not too much) that you normally find in boxes that keeps the insides of the box dry and put them in your guitar cases. Prevents moisture creeping inside the guitar case that could rust the strings up.
