Nowadays with 10bits, 12bit deepcolor and the recently RealD being a new standard of things to come, suddenly, when you buy all these players, AVR and HDTV, you'll find out your current chapalang HDMI just doesn't work in that environment. Hell, even my Dune players included HDMI cable doesn't pump out 12bits even though the player can be set that high with certain combinations

If you buy a High Speed HDMI with Ethernet capability - which is essentially HDMI 1.4 with Ethernet support - then you're set. It doesn't matter if it costs RM30 or RM300. If it works, it works. Using Monster Cable is not going to give you anything extra, and if it does, it is doing something to the signal that it should not have been doing. It is out of spec.

BTW, you don't need to buy HDMI 1.4 with Ethernet if your hardware doesn't use Ethernet to share data.
