== And Now a Word from Our GM ==

First off, my player name in game is Namlig and I'm the GM for SycK. My officers are Loranidan, Cro, Fisshy, Paku, Astalder and Nymaera. Any of these names can invite, kick, promote and demote people in guild. Please feel free from asking questions in or outside of game.

Rules and Regulation: Simple, first off is we all have fun. But we do not tolerate unwanted members (those who think can join guild just for the fun and have a tag <SycK> above their name is superb) that don't log in often. This comes to the second part, we do prefer everyone to level at the same time as each other to better suit the guild standard and do instances together although we would like/encourage each and every one of you guys to go on a LFM/LFG run every-now-and-then. This is to get all of us used to the grouping and specific group have specific rules while running in an instance. There is a designated MT(Main Tank) and MA(Main Assist) but MA has not really been implanted yet because we are still in a low level state so we know that everyone are eager to fight. Therefore we would like everyone and try to log on as often as possible. The officers and I have decided that we have to put a firm grip to our judgment that we will start booting people from the guild if they are not to be seen in the guild within a 5 days period.

Next to come to it is as we know we have a few new people in the guild whether new to the game, new to instances, new even to each other (especially non-Forum members) and those 'friends' of friend's of friends... which can go on and on and on' kind of people in the guild which we already have. We know that everyone wants to play with their friends and their friend's friends. We have nothing against that and hopefully we help others too. Yes we know that this is and will try to be an all Malaysian guild if possible, please keep in mind that we help each other and others will help us. Don't have the mindset of being greedy and taking items because they are free and never ask back if others wanted those BoE items you have found. You can either post message in the guild chat and ask if people wants it (which some people have done) or send those items to me or guild officers (I'll keep the items in hand if any member wants it or else I'll DE it since I'm an enchanter). If blue stuffs, I'll bet most of you guys would not be asking if other wants it because blue items are likely to be more of a profit than DE-ing it. Yes I strongly suggest that either you want to use it or put it for sale in AH. We won't question you for what you would do with the items because those items are found by you.

To go into details on the ranks, I've picked my officers from a list of whom I played and have been playing since WoW was launched (exception to Astalder). To go into more details the officers and I have been playing the game and going into instances from level 20 onwards to 60 when we were playing alliance in Dragonmaw so we know the rules and regulation of every raid, group and playing style. Grouping is one important part when going into an instance or doing raids. If anyone thinks that the above officers should not be an officer please voice out (PM me here or in game) and we will discuss the latter. For the rest that are non officers we will be giving ranks of initiate, member and veteran. The highest significant rank for normal members is veteran to state the dedication of the player towards the game and especially guild. We have decided to do 5 men instances with guild members where 3 officers will accompany 2 initiate or member ranks personal to judge them. Everyone would be required to run with the officers so that we can have a large group of people within the guild and work together as one. For those who are new would definitely require to run and learn from the officers or those experienced WoW gamers. We have a large group of people which came from different servers where their main character/s are level 50 and above. Yes we know that during weekends there will be long hours of raid in their prospective server in MC, Onyxia or even open raid bosses. Therefore our guild and server comes in as an alternative for weekend gaming.

We would also like those who brought their friends' friends or etc. to the guild to sign up in this forum to participate a little more too. This will definitely help a lot. We will and have decided to boot players who do not show up more than 5 days because we would like to organize a good and active guild. This way we would keep the guild clean off "lurkers" so we can keep track on who is who also.

I think you our guild is big enough to share things around. The idea is NOT to sell the green/blue bind on equip items before asking if anyone needs it. Try not to use the Auction House to buy stuff unless its really important/neccessary. keep all the money within the guild. The reason u buy from AH is to get better stuff.. right but if everyone asks first and give it to another guildie who needs it, u wont have to buy and waste money in the AH

Certain items are always in demand -
1) Shoulder pads for Lvls less thatn 20 casue its not to common at out level
2) Green items of the bear/tiger (warriors), monkey (rogues, hunters), eagle/owl (casters) and got knows what shamans use will always be in demand
3) Gems (moss agate, shadowgem, etc) for crafting items (blacksmithing/leatherworking/tailoring)
4) If u have spare linen/wool/silk/mageweave/runecloth, send them to tailors so that they can make u bags or other stuff
5) Enchanters, if u need rods, ask the blacksmiths (like me to make for you)
6) If u find any herb from drops/chest send them to alchemist

I also strongly suggest that we appoint 1 (or more if we can afford it) guild enchanter so we can send ALL STUFF THAT NO ONE WANTS (blue or green) to him to disenchant. It might seem a bit of a waste but when u think further in higher levels, useful enchantments can COST a bomb if u wanna buy it from other people u are going to be broke.

The idea is we maintain a close door economy as much as possible, so we get the most out of it and the money/stuff just gets circulated within the guild. I understand that some people will be broke cause of training costs of some classes but we can always share our money right?

da3shou3's Instance Run 101 Idiot Guide
==============================

(1) Introduction

First of all, pls go HERE to read up FAQs about your class and be aware of their current problem/bug and also how to play them well.

All right, now that you know how to play with your chosen class, prolly gain enough level, you'll start to get into instance. Going into instance (aka dungeon) without a party is impossible, since the elite mob is 3 or 4 times harder (Unless you're like 15 lvls above the mobs in there. Also please be aware that even though you see a single wandering mob near a group, do not attempt to pull. Some of these mob are "hard" linked with the other mobs nearby which will come in a group when any of those are attacked.

It is always best to get a player who is familiar with the instance to lead the party. You'll have easier time exploring then bumping into dead ends, or going the other way round, making the whole instance run slow. Communication is the key to survive.

(2) Party members

Now that you know you need a party to get into instance for questing/loot run, who should you join/recruit? What kind of a party you should form? Let's get into this. A good party to start with at least have:

1 Tank (Warrior as first choice, Druid/Pally 2nd)
1 Healer (Priest/Shaman/Druid)
1 Dmg Dealer (Rogue/Mage/Hunter)

and 2 alternatives depends on the situation of which you might want to get another healer/tank.

When partying with Rogue and Mage, please discuss when it comes to sheeping/sapping. Do not try to use AOE spell that causes damage nor DOT. Those basically break sheep/sapping. Always assist the tank to kill off his target then switch to the next mob. Do not try to take out the extra elite mobs on your own when you see any. Pets can be use to temporary offtank the extras until your party kill the main target. Mages can sheep human/beast and warlocks can disable elementals with banish, humans with the sexy succubus. Priests will be able to shackle one undead as well for about 30 secs.


(3) Aggro

In WoW, there is something called aggro. Aggro is generated when you try to *get friendly* with those mobs that are hostile in natural (Red color named), or when you attacked a neutral non-hostile mob (Yellow color named) and the hostile one. And this aggro build up linearly with the ammount of threat (be it damage done on it, or healing the friendly players who is aware by that mob, or other mob that linked to it). And how close you can get close to a hostile mob without aggro it (aka aggro range/radius) depends on the your level.

In normal environment, a mob will continue chase and attack anyone aggroed that is within it's maximum allowable range before it run back to its initial spawn point. Inside instance it's different. Elite mobs will chase as long as you're not out of the instance and you're not reachable by any mean. If you're out of the instance, it will in turn chase your other party members who are still inside the instance. In the process, that particular mob might draw more groups to chase you together. So it is not recommended to flee inside the instance. If you accidentally aggroed, just die far apart from your member group where is easy for them to rez you at the same time.

When a mob is aggroed, it will ALWAYS attack the one who has the HIGHEST threat to it. There are skills that reduce threat level temporary (priest's fade) or permanently (hunter's disengage) which I will not go into deep here. So at any given time, another player's total amount of thread is the highest, the mob will abandon its current target and turn to attack that player.


(4) Pull & Tank

Have you now known of the concept of aggro, you will now need to learn to pull in instance. Pull by here means that you try to get a mob (and it's hard-linked members) run to your current location to attack you. Anyone can pull but whether he/she can survive after that pull it's another story. The other party members should ALWAYS WAIT at a safe spot until puller lead the mobs to the group. Usually, you'll let the tank pull since he can take alot of damage with his heavy armor and higher hp. There are few techniques that you can use to pull.

a. Body Pulling
This is when you don't have any ranged weapon (bow/gun/throwing axes) on you, and you have no ranged spell available as a warrior. You use your body, go bit by bit nearer to the targeted mob, try to aggro him when he's in your aggro radius. Run back to your group once you're succeeded.

b. Ranged Pulling
You use an ranged weapon to get attention of the mob that is nearest to you. This is better than body pulling since your aggro radius might be big, it can accidentally aggro 2 groups of elite mobs at once. Right after you get aggro, run back to your group and skin those mobs coming to you.


c. Blink Pulling
When you aggro a ranged shooter or a caster, usually they will stay in place and attack. This is not intended as a pull because the aggroed mob might chain-aggro another group nearby on top of it's own group. So what you need to do, is go behind a wall so that they can't see you (that's what meant by blind here). When this happen, they will start running toward you and get into melee range. If there is no walls or obstacles, quickly run of their casting/shooting range so that they must chase nearer to you in order to attack.

(5) Looting

Now finally you've pull successfully and got your kills and survived, there will be *something* (or nothing) that can be found on the corpse. You can know this by the glimmering light on it. Right click to loot the body. Take note that there are 3 types of item in general. Item that bind on equip (BOE), Item that bind on pickup (BOP) and Item that will not be bind in any cases. Usually any green (uncommon) and better quality item will be at least BOE (except green gems and some recipe/pattern/formula). If you find a green or better, depends on the looting rules set by the party leader, the rolling system will pop up. Make sure you check for it's binding properties before rolling. At this point, there will be people who want to use (NEED) that particular piece of item as an upgrade for the one they currently wearing or people who just want to get it to sell for money (GREED). (Althought they might be a 3rd type, the NINJAs, we'll discuss it later)

It's common that members in the party should always let ppl in need of those items to roll for it (if there are more than 1 person needs it). For BOP, it is always better to pass since once pickup it cannot be transferred. Ppl usually discuss who will get the BOP items and do manual rolling (/random 100). Greed comes second. If you always roll for something that you don't need but other in despair to get, you'll soon find no friends to party with because of your greedy and selfish attitude. Such act will be known by players on the same server pretty quick so be aware of that. Ninjas are those ppl who do this all the time and also tried to loot items which are passed by all the other while discuss who should get it.

(6) Conclusion

(This guide is for Horde only. Alliance go eat shitz. )

Previously, in my first guide, all the senarios are talking about good pull. Now what if a bad pull happens? You might survive or you might not. When all of you are killed, you call it a party wipe. But fear not! Some of the classes can prevent this happen.

1. Warlock's Soul Stone (Wipe Recovery/Prevention)
Skill: Create Soulstone (Minor) @ lvl 18. Required a soul shard to create.
TPC note : Please for the love of the game, die in a safe place to self-rez

2. Shammy's Reincarnation (Wipe Recovery)
Skill: Reincarnation. Obtain @ lvl 30. Required an ankh to cast.

3. Druid's Battle Rez (Wipe Prevention)
Skill: Rebirth (Rank 1). Obtain @ lvl 20. Required a seed to cast.

Fisshy's Guide For Assisting In Instances and Being Useful
=======================================

1) Who to assist, which mob to target? First of all, why is this important you might say, afterall you STILL can complete the instances that you go into. I want to let you know what your group of 5 can simply play and simply attacking any target and pulling and YOU STILL can make it up to level 60 and complete instances up to Sunken Temple and parts of BRD (mid level 50 instances) without much trouble (occasional wipes are there of course)

When u try to use the same tactics in Strat/Scholo/BRS/DM (ogre especially) i can guarantee you that you WILL have multiple wipes near to the instance entrance and u will be left wondering what went wrong. Pulling 6/7 mobs with three 61/62 elites is no joke.

Learn to make and ASSIST MACRO and learn how your teamates play. Make a new macro with an icon and type in /assist KillaKat if Killakat is designated to be the main assist. When u click on the assist icon, you will automatically target on the mob that Killakat is attacking. In this way, all will be attacking the same target. Make a macro for sheeping and pulling as well. I cant remember it on top of my head now, but i have those. These are important as you let your teammates know what things are going to get sheep/sapped or when/what are you pulling.

Always let the TANK pull/charge. (there will be some rare instances where a sheep/shakle pull is needed, but u will be informed before hand) When the tank is not confident of pulling in fear or aggroing nearby mobs. Let the hunter (if there is) pull cause his range is longer and if the pull goes bad he can always feign death (it does fail sometimes )

Why is it important to let the tank pull? Its not so important at lower levels but as u go into harder instances any leather/cloth wearers will get killed in a shot or 2 by hard hitting mobs. I am NOT joking. 2 hits from a mob with a crit somewhere inbetween and you will be DEAD, u wont have time to go into shadowform/vanish/blink/run. U WILL DIE and drop down fast and dont know what hit you. One example out of MC/Onyxia are the ogres/captains/guards in DM north. During their enrage mode, the can even crit for up to 2k or more per hit

Before starting the instance, take time to discuss who will be tanking/assisting and their style of play and it will make your run wipe free and stress free.

2) Rogues, always feint when u have the chance. Hot key it, and when it is lighted, feint before and after u attemp a cold blood eviscerate. I confess that i NEVER use feint untill i was like level 55. Start early and get your basics right so you wont have trouble in the end game. Try not to grab aggro fron the tank by using your most UBER damaging spell/skill early on. Mages/Hunters/Rogues are the number 1 public enemy of tanks cause they keep overnuking. A rogue's MAIN GOAL in an instance in NOT TO GET HIT by anything and therefore dont need a healer to heal you. Yes u r a DPS class. Any tom d*** and harry playing a rogue can ALL do insane amount of damage but only a handful, skilled ones can avoid aggro and avoid getting hit.

3) Mages, u need to control ur hormones, especially fire mages. Pyroblast/Fireball/Conbusion/ Arcane power/Fireblast/Flamestrike/Blizzard are NOT to be used in the beginning of the instance fight. Use it towards the middle/end to finish up mobs. If you use early in the begining mobs will be all over you. For fire mages, scorch is your best friend. If u have clear casting, keep scorching and then AM/Blizzard during clearcast. In the middle of the fight and toawards the end, feel free to dish out ur damage spells. THe AIM of a mage in an instance is to help with crowd control by sheeping (AND ALSO RE-SHEEPING), and its almost the same as rogues, IF you are playing well, the mobs will not get to you and be infront of you hitting you, unless its a rare occasion.

How do i (and im sure experience players will agree with me) tell the difference between a good rogue or mage (or priest or hunter or shaman or druid or warlock). If mobs keep surrounding you and hitting you, you are the same like 80% of other people playing your class; which is u SUX at your class - plain simple. Good and excellent players will know how to balance between DPS and aggro and your main aim is to strike a balanace between those 2.

3) Another thing are debuff slots that mobs cast on you and you party members. Mages/shamans/ druids please keep an eye on curse/poisons/disease, remove them as soon as you see them. It gets very nasty during end game and early on, do train your eye to look out for them.

The key to why i am stressing all these is for new players to have their basic right early in the beginning of the game and in the endgame i can guarentee that you will thank me for it. The faster and earlier you get your basics right, the easier it will become and you wont have trouble during end game. I wished that early on when i was playing, there was someone that told me all these things. Learn early, and apply it early - FTW!!!!!

i use earth binding totem but that lousy lvl 10 boss immune liao. somemore i healed paku and u 2 times and i was slap to death and crash out of WoW in the water.

BTW an update. I'm now a priest (the healing dagger pls!) and a herbalist/alchemist. I figure more transmutes in our to be guild the better. Na pots never hurts. I already saved my own life 4 times yesterday with minor healing pots

I'm going shadow for now to solo and pvp better but I'll probably switch when we get to the higher levels, so forgive me if I heal less then satisfactorily.

go shadow build for low-to-mid lvl is right choice. It's easier to solo and still be able to heal.

That one not much problem as long as you bring some blue/green to DE to get the reagent needed. Engineering only benefits yourself one (that's why they're nerds. only engineering know how to play around with their product. =.=)
