You should play with ur flash compensation.. Adjust it in ur camera....

i love playing the di622 flash with manual control . 
usually set 3 bar of the power for most of my shot , unless the subject is really far

U mean Nissin Di622 full flash recharge is 2 to 4 seconds..? Then Nikon SBs can tapao liao lo...

SB900 out much more power mah lol~, but I think mine's about 4 seconds.

4 to 5 seconds oso consider fast.. But it's kinda impposible.. I own both flash my self, SB600 full flash recharge also take around 4 ~ 5 seconds, and my Di622 takes around like 8 ~ 10 seconds..
If u wanna measure ur speed of Di622, when u hear the beeping sound that indicates full recharge, else that will be not full recharge...

Been reading reviews on the D3100, the sensor seems really great. Close to D700's ISO or maybe better @_@.

wahahaha... i only tried A mode for a while, then i'm not satisfied with the result (actually my stupid mistakes for not turning on the flash causing the camera setting the shutter speed very slow) then I go straight to Manual...

I only used auto mode for a while then I'm playing with manual mode and manual focus already... but those things are hard to master... shooting static object would be nicer with manual... but when shooting subjects that tends to move around or won't stay at one place for a long time, for sure will go to auto focus but still manual mode... manual mode + manual focus will make you lose the precious shot just to find the correct setting

for me, when i started to experiment with the modes, i used a compact camera first (powershot a460)

then after i understand what each mode does, i got a dslr

imho, getting a dslr just to look cool (and using auto mode all the time) is not wrong oso, but quite a waste
