QUOTE(celciuz @ Sep 18 2010, 09:33 PM) Good lens are sharp wide open, eg 70200 f/2.8, 2470 f/2.8, 14-24 f/2.8, 24 f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4D. These are the ones I have experience with. Those Super GT shots were at the straight path before turn 15 (the tower). Nice spot there because the cars are slowing down, and you get a lot of action as 2 cars goes into corner. Ermm.. Not to argue.. But there is few result which shows that Nikon's 70-200mm f/2.8 VR and 14-24 f/2.8 is abit soft when soft open and 85mm f/1.4 is soft at corner when shooting at wide open.. but the 70-200mm VRII improve significantly and sharp at wide open and the 24-70mm f/2.8 is undoubtedly sharp any any focal length in wide open, some says it pawns Canon's 24-70mm f/2.8.. Just to share my knowledge..

QUOTE(celciuz @ Sep 18 2010, 11:39 PM) From my experience, the 14-24 is superb at f/2.8 on D700. No hands on experience on the VR though. But then again, I think the so called, 'a bit soft' is anytime better than those 50mm at f/1.8. I agree with what u say.. That is why i say that if u pixel peep, u'll see it, else the result is still superb...

QUOTE(mrl @ Sep 24 2010, 11:01 PM) wow... nice review on Di622... though one of my concern is the recycle time... i'm seeing i might stick with kit lens for quite some time before getting another good lens... how slow is the recycle time??? a figure to compare between SB600 and Di622 might be good... i had tested SB600 before, and it's brilliant... just dont know how does Di622 fare against SB600... like what KTCY said, i dont want to spend twice... but if Di622 can get average job done, i might consider it... mostly i'll use it for indoor shooting... or anyone letting go their SB600??? QUOTE(seng87 @ Jul 16 2010, 07:11 PM) There are actually few Pros and Cons for both of the SpeedLite.. Zoom Flash between the both are, Nikon SB600 covers from 18-85mm while the Nissin Di622 covers from 18-105mm Recycling power under full flash(1/1), Nikon SB600 rated at 2~3 seconds while the Nissin Di622 rated at 8~9 seconds Flash power definitely Nissin Di622 is higher Power consumption on Di622 is higher(Dry your AA battery faster) Nikon SB600 have LCD panel for advance settings while Nissin Di622 only has basic TTL or Manual Flash control Nikon SB600 supports Nikon CLS brows.gif while the Nissin Di622 only supports off camera flash trigger with Manual Flash control Nikon SB600 fells more solid comparing to Di622 Nissin Di622 have a built-in bounce card while the Nikon SB600 doesn't have cry.gif Nissin Di622 have a plastic hotshoe with screw tight mount which in my case, my fren broke it when i borrow him and it's an accident cause someone bump into him and the camera fell off to the floor while the Nikon SB600 have a metal hotshoe with a lock switch mount This is what i wrote for the comparison for both the speedlight...

QUOTE(KTCY @ Sep 27 2010, 11:36 PM) Like I said, you SHOULD try out. Even it's driven by the lens motor but the auto focus modules on the camera body makes it different. Who say it will be consistent ? I find it a little vary on FF body. Talk so much also no use. This thread user can only use G lens. Forget about the D version. Discussion over in this forum is to get and exchanging information rather than asking people to forget about the D lenses.. If u can't provide accurate answer to fellow forumers, u shouldn't have start stating the differences.. Please be polite to other forumers...

QUOTE(ayrton @ Oct 5 2010, 12:01 PM) Guys and girls, I need some help. Technical problem here. Wanna ask you all who are using lenses with M/A feature. Does your M/A ring still rotates even if it reaches the focus limit either at infinity or closest focus? I got my brand new 35mm f/1.8G last month and now I am a little paranoid about the focus ring on this lens. The ring still moves around if I apply a little bit more force on it. Even when it reaches the focus limit, either at infinity or the closest focus distance. Is that just normal? Or I am thinking too much? Please help, thanks. It's normal.. U've been thinking too much..

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Oct 6 2010, 11:31 AM) exposure kinda unbalance? or issit vignetting? unless he meant the new Sigma 70-200 OS, which is as expensive as Nikkor 70-200 i dun how Sigma 70-200 can be very much better than Tamron's In terms of focusing and built quality.. IQ, Tamrom seems promising..

QUOTE(Vampyr3 @ Oct 20 2010, 04:24 PM) Yeah, need to crop coz only at 200mm if you crop, it's automatically downgrade the quality, so it's abit hard to sharpen, even with software, there will be degrade of quality too..
