Hmm, CS2 can't read D90's RAW file. You need CS4 and later.

my frenz is using it... i guess should be ok since he din complain on it... but plz dun compare it with Nikon speedlight since itz still 3rd party...  smile.gif

Last time I read only certain build of CS3 with newer ACR could read it. The rest can't, that's why I recommended CS4 and later, definitely able to read the raw file.

I view RAW files with ACDSee photo manager 2009, then edit RAW files with photoshop CS5 xtended. Been using ACDSee for years, since 2006 version. It can support lots of image file types and can do minor editing too.

But it's not free though. You know the drill.
*
Me always rojak biggrin.gif, most of the time using Adobe Bridge and Lightroom to view. Then if need those simple editing use Lightroom. After that all on CS5.

Hey CY, I see you did a good job in pp all ur model, like the previous pc fair girls (this is the only sets I can compare with my own work), other den doing BW n colour, how u touch up on the model skin? blurring n contrast those, how you made the skin looks so smooth n looks like got natural make up? can share a bit?
*
Thanks! The girls have nice skin ma ^^, didn't had to touch much also biggrin.gif

Got or not o..... yoo, the WB ler? I see ur pic quite diff frm others, like their skin is so fair, lol

Mayb is the demb diffuser of ur flash  hmm.gif
*
Haha, chaota skin color? Those are signs of underexposed pictures! Most people get that because low light condition.

QUOTE(illegaldragon87 @ Aug 30 2010, 10:59 AM)
dun really like using CS3 for raw... it seems lik giving me the color diff from the original pic... too bad Nikon din provide free CaptureNX for the users...
*
Actually, can get maybe 90% similar. If you use vivid, can use the camera preset vivid set in ACR.

Lol... chaota pula.... rclxub.gif  If I light up much den the skin will tend to b reflective, looks oily, haaiz.... headache.... dunno how u make those model face looks brightly lit but not reflective (powder coated  tongue.gif  )
*
Don't use flash then biggrin.gif, but under such condition probably only those FX would survive nicely tongue.gif.

I'm talking bout the pics u produced ler.... u using DX oso ma, but can get such pleasant looking pics, dat's wat I'm wondering.... da lighting is just nice to make their face looks bright but not oily reflective looking, I thought is on the PP working.
*
If flash makes the face looks oily, it means your flash overused already. Harsh. If just nice then it won't.

at first i also think like this , thus i get the cheapest d3000 that time ,

now thinking upgrade to d90 or get lens . cool2.gif  doh.gif
*
Lens affects image quality, body probably for the ISO performance. I would get lens tongue.gif. Lens when you upgrade in future still can use xD.

RM1.4k, go for 50mm f/1.4G instead. At least if you go FX in future still can use.

Yeah, the kit lens for D90, it's quite good seriously, 18-200 also almost same like 18-105, just with the longer reach..
*
18-200 IQ worse than 18-105 a lot leh haha. 18-200 so soft the picture aiyo.

Guys, enlighten me please...
When not to use a hood and when to use a hood ?

Can I attach it permanently to the lens ? And use it at all conditions ?
*
I use hood under all conditions =), no harm actually. Protects your lens too.

Probably because when using CPL you want to turn the CPL. If the hood is in the way it will be harder. Especially those bigger hoods.
