mine was running slow after updating To the new ios

Is it really multitasking when most apps are not updated to work with multitasking yet? Apps like Pulse News Reader simply loads up again when you select it from the multitask bar, so technically it's not 'running in the background', right?

frankly quite disappointed with the 4.2.1 upgrade, nothing special, multitasking is nothing new, still took me ages to backup (it took more than 3 hours to backup the ipad and there isn't much data in it to begin with - they should fix that backup problem)

there is no proper way to exit an app other than to hit the home button....then it lies in the background using up precious memory and battery i suppose....and u have to close it manually.

and now the side lock become the mute button.....

when i was trying to lock the screen today, hitting the home button twice, sliding right, pressing the slide lock button, my fren commented that the programmer at apple must be some arcade player - it's like some combo move.... 

on the bright side, i stimulated the china economy 

no, what i want is to backup with less time consumed. in itunes you can cancel backup just by clicking the x button.

imma trying to figure out why its taking so long (approx 3 hrs) for backup when there's not much data in the ipad.....some corrupt apps perhaps?

There will be host-by-Maxis iPhone fulfilment (abt 3.5k units), selling of iPad device by AAPR (abt 0.6k units) and data plans event at KL Convention Center next Sat-Mon. That is the info I got from my Maxis insider just now. They'll probably be separate launch events by the different AAPRs with respect to their iPad launches. I know Machines already have their stock allocations, already saw pictures of their stock in boxes stacked high full of iPads.

Take all this with grains of salt, all I have to go with my insiders with no documentations.

Anyway, question comes, How can I close the application totally? But not hide it background? Thx thx, iPad is my 1st apple

The other question is I had download an app from itune, but it seems like waiting only all the while at the menu,is it downloading?  That is just a calculator, not really a big file rite.

I always fail to understand if one can afford to buy a RM 2000+ gadget, why one cannot afford to pay for apps software which cost Rm3 to RM10 generally?? It is not like he is going to buy a thousand apps .

It is not a matter of rich or poor. It is the mentality that " why pay when you can get it free honestly or dishonestly  ?? This is a disease and a growing one  in many developing economies

It is the same mentality I see in guys willing to spend RM2000 to Rm3000 on a smartphone but cringe when need to spend a maximum  of RM30 on data plan

In my younger days mid 20+ I used to write software and I do feel the pain when it is being copied /modified and use without my approval even though it is free. So I always believe we should support developers - it is a chicken and egg situation. Without support will the developers continue to improve their software ? And dino was right to say , we are talking about few ringgit software not hundreds or thousand ringgit

sorry. new ipad user - 16gb & 3g + wifi type. Just wanna know few thing
1) Can my ipad works without micro-sim on it?! first time unboxing iPad, directly go sync with my current iTunes; window prompt to insert sim card on ipad or else, it did not sync. anyway to bypass these step? I dont have micro-sim & i dont want to 'koyak' my current sim. Pls advise

2) Can I use some of apps i already purchased for my iPhone to be sync with iPad?

3) Notified some of software where you can stream video file in PC via wireless on iPad. Can anyone give me detail on this?
