I was picking up my new iPhone 4 from Maxis KT when the staff informed me that the iPad will be launch by Maxis in this coming November....
I believe it is reliable since they are able to get me the iPhone pretty quick...Guess I wait and buy the Apple iPad slim case from the Apple.

I'm surprised when Maxis also brought in Samsung Galaxy Tab, looks like they wanna dominate the portable tablets business.

i agree. since its been determined that jailbreaking is legal - as long as we don't discuss illegal apps, i feel jailbreaking should be allowed.
Mods - can you confirm this once and for all instead of having people speculate unnecessarily.

I leave it on for overnight for downloads also not hot... lol.

the price on the web is excluding the tax.
for houston it's 8% sales tax.
after conversion and all it's still cheaper than spore.

no sim lock. but it comes with at&t micro sim in it i dunno for wat reason.
using my digi broadband in it now.
so no problems.

digi Prepaid internet sucks. They really cater their system to suck your money and never give it back. bad experience with their system and their people.

The reloads mentality / system is just plain stupid as it does not cater to the fact that if you do reloads during your validity period, it will just use that day you reload as day #1.

eg: RM10 = 5 day (Oct 1st to Oct 5th)
you decide to reload RM10 as you're going outstation or XXX 2 days later (Oct 3rd). You should be getting total 10 days right? But NO... since you reload 2 days later, you get your validity extended to Oct 8th (Oct 3rd + 5 Days).

Your 2 days kena makan already.

So... Digi Prepaid Sucks.

Do postpaid better. I'm on the 7am to 7pm Day Plan RM38/month (speed is >384kbps. ). (RM33 if you do AutoBilling)

it's called BUZZ Player. It's DARN cool man.

I can stream direct from my home server(linux) w/o doing any transcoding. It uses the SMB://URL/File address type and it's just plain COOL!.

No need to copy any files to Ipad for @home streaming. It can even do WIFI copy of Video files directly into the iPad for On-The-Road viewing if you so choose.

Just emailed project update via ipad. Screencapped calendar from calendar, import pic to sletchbook and annotate project schedule n terus email with notes. While having lunch at kopi tiam. Damn gaya lah me with ipad.

Normal physical keyboard, I'll use both hands to type but when on iPad, automatically will use one hand. Precisely, only one finger....

I will strongly advised you to reconsider getting the iPad for work. The latest MacBook air 11" will be a better choice. The iPad is meant to be a leisure and consumer gadget. It is not so suitable for creative or office related. If you plan to use it mainly for office related you will be dissapointed. That is how I feel. The iPad is great for browsing, ebooks, magazine, gaming , email is mediocre though.
You need to purchase office suite or iWork as not provided. You can get some mediocre and features limited free app as alternative. Editing is terrible unless you have good and accurate typing. You have to consider all alternatives of file transfers since it lack usb .

just asking, majority ipad owner , owns iphone... is it true?

if iphone camera can up to normal camera phone standard i sure will get iphone....but truth is not.

I just open your given site on the dolphin browser of my android Dell Streak with 3 other webpage open. the site open without any crashes and I could navigate to the other links without problems.  I would like to compare it later when I am back home to check it on the ipad. If the ipad crashes than it is indeed ram issues.
Frankly the android browser and dolphin browser on my dell streak generally is also better and faster than safari of the ipad.
Update: I tested on my iPad, on safari NO crash whatsoever even with few windows open in background. I'd say is perfect. Tried again few times, same results.

Most probably is the dock connector issue. Faced same issue with previous iphone n have to replace the connector.

Confirmation from AAPR and from my Maxis side that the Malaysian launch will be this November 26th. I fear that will be "too little too late" scenario, because everyone I know that wants one already have one. Plus the industry's already talking about the next iPad, and getting one now seems suicidal since the new one is so close to being introduced.
