QUOTE(popcorn513 @ Aug 12 2010, 02:28 PM) i c, thanks. then i should only wait the bonus pool to refill back >200 only start to play it, now only left 2 bonus pool.... no point, you'd gain more by playing more anyways. the bonus pool is meant for people who cant keep playing and give them a bonus so they dont get left too far behind. also, per division within a league has ~100 players. and the amount of score helps determine how you are ranked within the division. and if you get promoted or demoted, your score goes back to zero within that league/division Added on August 12, 2010, 3:31 pmQUOTE(ericpires @ Aug 12 2010, 02:38 PM) How do u see all this info in the bnet there? when you win/lose a game This post has been edited by Quazacolt: Aug 12 2010, 03:31 PM

QUOTE(popcorn513 @ Aug 12 2010, 03:49 PM) so if i want to stay in platinum league then i just make sure my rank is above 50 i shouldn't get demoted right? Get demoted only when i rank near 100 and get demoted due to some gold rank replacing you? if you're worthy of being plat in bnet system, you rank 99 or 100 (cant go any lower AFAIK) and you'll still be in plat. you only get promoted or demoted based on the system's calculation of your actual "value" or "skill" or "score" depending on how you want to interpret this "value" that determines your league placing a new gold rank promoted would simply take over any platters that gets demoted and placed in a rank based on a score of 0 and ranked accordingly as well. they wont just "kick you off"

QUOTE(aLertz @ Aug 12 2010, 05:03 PM) well for the person who got demoted, for example a platter, his/her record would be 0 when back to gold?? which means he'll be staying at rank 100 in gold since his point is 0? or they keep a record of his point when he got promoted to plat? score 0, but win/loss remains the same

score, win/loss, how you win/lose, APM, etc etc
many many many factors that decides this by bnet system that is not revealed by blizzard. you want to go up, just be good. if you're not good, you go down. simple as that.

QUOTE(popcorn513 @ Aug 12 2010, 06:33 PM) I thought bnet have the black and white info of how the league ranking system works, seems like we all are talk on experience. there is no black and white so far as blizzard is worried of abuse; the whole system is to prevent pros bullying noobs, or pros getting fed up fighting noobs as they no challenge or noobs crying and quitin the game cuz they get owned by a buncha unit when they only have workers etc etc and the experience is based off extensive playing through beta phase 1-2 and live.

QUOTE(RtP|DEV @ Aug 23 2010, 05:18 AM) No, i was mid table in my Gold Division when i got promoted to platinum. I think, when battle.net thinks you're ready, the server will match you up constantly against players above your rank. If you're platinum you'll play against diamond, maybe up to 6 or 7 straight game. It doesnt matter if you lose 6 straight game, you'll still be matched against diamond players. During this period you need to get 1 or 2 win to get promoted. My friend just got promoted to diamond league today. He was losing 6 straight match against diamond players, then on 7th match he won and got promoted. doesnt have to be a win to be promoted. ive proven it by promotion to diamond during beta upon a loss.

QUOTE(Sky.Live @ Aug 23 2010, 10:38 AM) i wonder why I am against platinum player while I am placed in silver league most of the time, although I do have a surprise victory over platinum league player before but I serious doubt my capabilities there.. ur gold no? and a tier above gold is platinum

QUOTE(goldfries @ Oct 4 2010, 11:53 AM) btw in my last 2 games against favored opponent, I won and got 46 points each. is that the highest possible point available for victory? *sorry. tried Google. can't find much details on this. depends on league too. for example, victories in diamond would yield maybe 10 points even with bonus pool, while a bronze victory can yield like 24 + 24 bonus or something around there. =edit= point being, unless ur in diamonds, i wouldnt be worrying about league points. since if ur promoted, your ladder "rankings" get reset anyways.
