QUOTE(Enigmatic @ Oct 24 2010, 01:59 AM) I was told that 22uF, 33uF (normal N series) and 47uF are the most used. Recently I noticed alot of LOD manufacturers using 47uF caps on their LOD. Don't quote me on this though, it's just observation. There will be sound differences, that's where you should consult sifi Pcwork. Even N series also very rare in the market. Usually ppl stock it for future use. U have access to N series BG also?

QUOTE(jazzy939 @ Oct 24 2010, 12:45 PM) I heard one very old veteran who builds tube amps says, it'll take 3 years to break in a BlackGate! On ordinary listening hours, 2~3 hours per day, it will take around that time to break in. My fren said, it sound nice at 1st, then get worse, then picking up, get better till a peak then stop for long time to improve further.

QUOTE(C-Note @ Nov 2 2010, 08:19 AM) haha no...what i meant was Im planning to upgrade my source from scratch..ipod..then caps..then imod...long waaaaaaay to go The thing is, where do you get WAV files? Suppose to rip them from original CDs through some method right? I think you mixed up something. The iMod use caps in the signal line of iPod. If you are talking about LOD with caps, that's different story. Which iPod version you getting?

QUOTE(g3n0c|d3 @ Nov 11 2010, 10:19 AM) like most of the RSA product ive tried with my ck100, it thickens the mids to the extend it change the sound signature of the ck100, which i find very disturbing but seriously it is good, the details... the separation is seriously good... but not to my likings... on the other hand, stepdance brings the detail forward and got wide soundstage.... i mean the thing i look upmost because ck100 tend to be a bit compress with its forward and colorful mids.... stepdance instead forward all the details and widen the soundstage to make ck100 a different beast.... with flac and wav files... u noticed the differences like immediately eventhou yuheng said to burn it for another 100 hours to show its potential.... and i mean wow... total love for the stepdance for me now... yeah... a bit bored here... living alone in a big house tend to make me a very boring person lol.. Haha maybe we could meet up teh tarik. I'm studying at UNITEN near Bangi PM me then we talk This post has been edited by wui223: Nov 11 2010, 10:31 AM

Last time when i was degree student, i used to work as part time promoter Those you see at supermarket selling stuffs, earn 80 bucks per day
If busy then focus on study, when you working then only buy those rigs.

QUOTE(ArianneG @ Nov 17 2010, 11:09 AM) Well, let me get my targeted NEW and Symphonica-ed HD650 first, then yes, Hippo amp to drive. After Hippo amp, probably head to PPK, then Lavry. I'm already almost 1/4 of the way to HD650 already, and I have a used HD650 waiting to get back to me in the US (my best friend is currently using it, or rather, will be using it when it arrives at her place, and she'll have it until 2012, as stated in my earlier post). Bought the used unit because Head-fi guy was selling at decent price and in case I don't get a new one before Jaben's stocks are wiped out permanently, at least still got one; and spares are handy to have anyway. Yups, Hippo amp drives Symphonica HD650 very well. Not too sure about how it fares with the stock cable though. Good for you I'm aiming the same thing except the amp n DAC you mentioned.
