Currently burning it at 2.2ghz at 1.625v. Temps are 42c full load in the morning and 46c load in the afternoon. BTW im using Storm G4 + BIX2 + Nirox P2800 since my MCP650 just spoiled. Will go to 2.3ghz this evening and 2.4ghz later on. Stepping is NIUHB bla bla bla. laugh.gif

Weird. Maybe cpuz read it wrongly. Same case like me last time when im using epox nforce 2 ultra.

Will pump the fsb more after burning the proc and rams.
Rite now im aiming for the fsb since the highest stable clock would be 2.4ghz but the load temps are quite high which is around 49c. Mind you im using Strom G4 + BIX2 + Nirox P2800 and that temp is taken at nite whereas in the afternoon it can reach to 54c. sweat.gif Im not used to high temp. laugh.gif

Im using SANDRA Lite 2005 SR3.

BTW i got lower memory bandwidth with 1T compared to 2T. Even higher Vcore needed to use the same settings on 1T. Rite now using 2T back.

Yup, using D26 Mantarays XT with cpc enabled. Wonder why. So u think i should benchmark it using 3dmark rather Sandra Memory Bandwidth test ?

Owh, so 1T or 2T it wont affect the memory bandwidth eh ? Maybe i would try that later. Confusing also lah the performance. haha.

Good, later we can compare the results.

i am now using original bios from abit.... coz i tried some of the modded bios and felt no performance different and the benchmark score oso sama sama aje...

Stock speeds wont let u see any differences at all. Try to overclock and measure the differences with 3dmark2001se and Sandra Memory bandwidth test.

Tips ? Slowly crank the fsb speed, let the proc and the ram have a sufficient burn in time. That way u can get a good results. Trust me.

huh? me not using stock speed btw....
is there any nicer bios splash screen for those modded bios?
*
Those are default for the bios. Hard to change either, just live with it. Afterall u wont be restarting ur pc more than 10 times a day. Do you ?

QUOTE(bertz @ May 14 2006, 07:13 AM)
which is the recommended bios for xp 2500+ with locked mutiplier at x11?

cheers

It depends on the motherboard. What motherboard you're using now ?

Well, u can try D26 Mantarays XT 1T, 2T and D27 Taipan. Before that learn how to flash the BIOS and what you would be getting with those rams.
