erm... sorry.. wub.gif

just wanted to bring the topic up, so silent in here.. huh.gif

blink.gif currently i'm having problem with my -5v rail..

while priming or programss running abit eq will beep,

and the -5v will be at -5.5v or -5.6v

erm....

any solutions ?? i'd have to recheck the beep box in the -5v settings. in order for it to shut up biggrin.gif

i have made up my mind to change to CoolerMaster 450-ACLX

what do u people think ?
about the bios. not yet, still a no go. biggrin.gif
*
-5v ? i dun think it has anything t do wif stability. onli 3.3v n 12v is used. 3.3v for rams n 12v for hardware.

5v also use for hardware right??

don't believe the mobo sensor..test with multimeter to make sure u'r PSU is still good enough to handle the o/cing.If not..it's the time to get a new PSU  laugh.gif

my MSI K8N Neo2 detect my 12V = 11.8x only.But tested with digital multimeter it shows 11.97-12.01.

I am currently running at 195 x 10 @ 1.85v (but it goes up and down) Fluctuating i think.

VDimm at 2.6v @ 3 - 4- 4 -8  after priming for 15 hours no prob.

No errors no warnings. i cud even watch a movie, still no prob. hehe...

Temp is Low compared to before which is 56c - 57c at FULL LOAD.

NOw is 51c at FULL LOAD.

yeaha.....

but my ram still suck at 380mhz, at stock it was 408mhz.

erm..

i bought the CM 45o purepower PSU. but did nothave the time to install yet.

maybe tonite.

1 - try lower multi n crank up the fsb.

2- when u raised fsb, raised vdimm 1 notch to 2.7 when it pass 200fsb.

3 - Let say, ur target is 2G, if u're able to get 2G, try to thighten the ram timing. try 2.5-4-4-8, prime for 30minutes but with priority level 9. if succeded, lower it again to 2.5-3-3-8, prime again. until u hit the wall for the ram.

try these timing :
current :
3-4-4-8

to test :
1st - 2.5-4-4-8
2nd- 2.5-3-3-8
3rd - 2.5-2-3-8
4th- 2.5-2-2-8

if u're able to get 2.5-2-2-8, try :
2-3-3-8
2-3-2-11

if u succeded, then :
2-2-2-11

have any enquiry or question.... u know where to find me....

thumbup.gif a little "idola" for u thumbup.gif :

cud boot but not stable....

currently running at 215 fsb.

*
try upping vdimm to 2.8 . see stable or not. if oso not stable, use 3-3-3-11 like M@STA K1LL4 said.

Try merlin D27 CPC ON latest ( watch the release date ), if not satisfied, try D26 Mantaray XT CPC ON.

ok...i tried mantaray xt cpc and no cpc, merlin both cpc and no cpc.
all latest version. i get lower benchmark score on sisoft sandra at memory and cpu for the merlin modded bios. and also lower score on mantaray xt cpc on.
with mantaray xt cpc off, i get about same with the original v27 bios score. but no hope to get more than 205fsb at x10.5.

There's an issue with 10 n 10.5 multi on nf2. try to avoid these multi if possible....

i heard the modded bios has issues with 10 and 10.5 multiplier.

so that issue is correct ?

hehe....

erm.... so go higher FSB and lower Multi ?
*
yeah..... with higher multi, onli get higher cpu clock. with higher fsb, will get higher bandwidth.

i tought at the mantaray xt change log there wrote bandwidth peak@10.5?

but now i oni got a DDR333 ram. so if i raise more FSB my kingston valueram cant hold it.

planning to buy another 2xDDR400 ram and sell my DDR333.

from my personal experience, this 10 n 10.5 multi bandwith is not consistent. it even bsod on me.

Hahahah... same casing as mine...... but, well.... i've modded mine. throw away the shutter, potong the lower part n added JMC 12cm fan for hdd cooling, paint flat black for the interior, cut the back honeycomb blowhole, enlarge the sidepanel to 12cm fan....

ya..i want to make a custom bios like some minor tweaking and add some bios splash screen.
*
be sure wat u're doing there, dude. once u flashed an unworkable bios.... hehehe.... say bye bye to ur mobo.

abt the fan.... i think, better use high cfm ( around 100 - 120 cfm ) with air-push config. but, the casing limitation is 8cm on rear. so it's better to get fan converter; 8cm -> 12cm. A high cfm fan will be loud, not from the fan, but the "whoosh"ing air that go through the rad fins. try to get a fan controller.

user posted image

200 FSB 1:1 2-2-1-2 @2.9v

with Mantaray XT 2t, i could achieve 263 w/ same timing. sorry, lost my shot for 2T.

251mhz at 2.5-2-2-4 eh ? Very nice timings u have there. Mind to post some SANDRA memory benchmark scores ?

i'm not in socket A anymore. migrated to sc754. but surely i hv so much fun with this stick. smile.gif. combined w/ AXP-M ( bought from Dinster ), this stick does shows it's best. But to be honest, to achieve this, i had to burn-in for abt 100 hours. well, i guess, it worth it. smile.gif
