I always finds it funny a lot of ppl pronounce it as "lee-nix" instead of "lee nucks.."

then again the American as "Lye" "Nucks"..

But nowdays, it all about branding branding, no more linux..... Ubuntu, Debian, Gentoo, Centos, Redhat, Suse....

my lecturer for UNIX system administrator also pronounce linux as "lee-nix" and i wondering why not "lee nucks"?
so i assume he was right since he has so many experiences(born and work at IBM in US and move to australia become lecturer)
