I wonder. Did anybody advise on making a folder in the root of your sd with name ringtones. Put any mp3 you want to use as notification in it. The mp3 you wanna use will be in the selection.

May I know what do you mean by "making a folder in the root of your sd"? Internal SD or external SD card? My phone is not rooted, can I do this?

Anyway, I tried installing Hanscent SMS, it only allow changes of notification for SMS (not Voicecall ringtone).

I tried installing Ringdroid, but it didn't work on my SGS...strange. It couldn't read my MP3 files, giving me an error opening file message. I tried to record a new voice using the software but when I try to play it, it hanged on me and force close.....hmm, not sure why Ringdroid couldn't work on my SGS.....any help from you guys?

I tried to find Ringo Pro on the market but couldn't find...only found Ringo Lite....

end of the day, still couldn't find a way to use MP3 as ringtones...sigh hmm.gif

Yeah, I finally managed to assign mp3 songs as ringtone. Ring droid is working as well after I uninstall and reinstall. Thanks to all those who gave me your advice.

I faced the same problem a few days ago. Then I deleted the app and went to Market  and download it again. Solve the problem. ;-)

Sigh, i also got the same problem with Vlingo.

I downloaded Vlingo from Samsung Apps, then when I wanted to use it, it asked for activation code....so I uninstalled it and try to download and reinstall again...

Unfortunately, i can't reinstall again from Samsung apps...it says Application failed to install no matter how many times I tried. Switch off phone and on again, also cannot.

Then I went to Market to search for Vlingo and when I try to download and install, I got an Installation Error message saying "Insufficient storage available"...how can that be? I still have more than 13GB of Internal SD card space and more than 14GB space on my External MicroSD card...

Anyone can help me?

Thanks

That's strange.
When I first faced the problem of activation code, I uninstalled it.
But when I went to Samsung app to look for it, I couldn't find it there anymore.
Then I looked for it in the Market and found it there. Downloaded it from the Market and now it works a charm.
Also I can now find it in Samsung app again.

Yeah, it's weird...that is why I'm puzzled. It's still in my Samsung Apps but I couldn't download and install it....not sure what is the problem...
When I click on the Vlingo to download and install I get an error message saying "Application Not Installed".

The weirdest part is that I can't even download and install from the Market?

Could it be some conflict with any software? I recently downloaded Handscent SMS and using My Buddies Samsung widget...
