Talked to one of the SA, test drive should be available end of the month or early next month.

I think launching date should be around the same time with the time the car is able to be test driven. For the booking, you can actually do it now already.

Yeah, I agree. This past few days spotted lots of GTIs around but not even a single Scirocco around town. It is rare indeed.

Sure I'll demand for the 5k back lah..... because they promised that I'll get the car by next weekend mah.... And if they fail to deliver, sure I've the right to ask for refund mah.

With regards to changing oil...if u are worried, just do it lor, theres no difinitive right or wrong, if it makes u feel better and sleep at night, i would suggest u do it

VW's need more care then japs..just get into habit of checking your fluid levels, eg my roc is only one month old, noticed last nite that coolant is down to min level, need to go back and refill at VW

For hills, i now drive old school way, pull hand brake, rev till theres resistance and let go

Stage one probably after 30k km for me, unless darn itchy wanna go do it quick which I am right now hahaha

TSI vs GTI

diffrent cars for diffrent ppl/needs.

If you can afford the extra 1k-1.5k per month to get the GTI, by all means go for it...its still better value then a 320i 

with the GTI u get
- slightly more street cred
- ability to mod till 300bhp if u desire max power
- nicer interior and ACC

with the TSI u
- save 55k....which to me..is a huge amount of money...can buy a  extra Myvi for pasar duties, or used as downpayment in a few years for a Golf R
- As much power as the stock GTi with a simple remap

I got the TSI roc cos i just didnt feel that spending 245k on a 2.0 roc was worth it, couldn't bring myself to spend so much money

I stopped selling the rns because of too many complaints about the gps( which was last updated 2007), if u need gps, get a garmin, it will serve u alot better then the rns

Too many firmware issues, dodgy supply of rns etc, so I only do rcd510 now, alot esier and many happy users

CW is the easiest to sell later on black and cw is the most garang , just simple rims and kit and they look fantastic

Csg easiest to maintain but it tends to get lost in the crowd

Have u guys tried the Launch Control?

I haven't tried it but someone in the VGCM forum tried it with their 1.4 TSI. Difference is that for the GTI the rev is at 3k rpm while for the TSI it's 1.5k rpm

yesterday i was crusing at 160km/h. suddenly a car from behind with HID use high beam to signal me. Sweat, it was a white volkwagen golf TSI. i recognise it is a TSI version due to the rear lamp. GTI type MK6 is diff. this car was running about 200km/h and overtake car like zigzag way. pretty cool.

You might get it end of the week if everything is smooth sailing. Otherwise it would be early next week. JPJ registration done already?

Just hope that everything runs smoothly, then Fri sure can get car. If suddenly JPJ computer down...... or something like that.... then sorry lah.. next week lor. Another weekend waiting in anticipation.
