Hi guys, after much pestering and advice from my friends, i finally got my self a fat burner!

Just want to know the best way to consume it. Label says 30 mins before breakfast and lunch. But i remember reading somewhere here to take it 30 mins before workout and breakfast? Which would be a better/more effective alternative?

Thanks! thumbup.gif

What is TRA?

Btw, tabata is like HIIT right? Only difference is its done in 4 mins?
Which would be better? 20 mins of HIIT or 4 mins of Tabata?

hurm if u dont have problem like high BP shud be ok.
determined ur age pulse rate and normal one..
once ur used to cardio ur resting pulse shud be low

I use the machine to do hill intervals. So it does 30 sec's of hill climb(high resistance high height) than 1 min of running pace ( for cooling down i presume) but i use 30 sec's of it to sprint, leaving the other 30 sec to rest. then i repeat the same process for 20 mins. I occasionally change things, in order to shock the body and not repeat the same thing for 20 mins ..when im in the resting phase its about 175~185 somewhere there..

Should be alright right?

Im a college student too, but i took the initiative. First step is by joining the gym! Or having a fix workout session per day!

When u join the gym - u pay. Causing u to have a mental status to give justice to the money your paying!

Cut down on your food! I couldnt resist food my mum makes. Now, im just having a small spoon of rice and whacking all the vege's she make.

Its all about mental awareness. Without it, i honestly think you wont be able to start too!

Hmm, besides the deadlift, squat and bench presses, are there any other? I plan to do about 2-3 workouts per muscle group each day, for 3 days a week. A friend of mine told me to do circuits, as its a better more comprehensive way of slimming down/loosing fats!

I do perform HIIT 2-3 times a week, for a good 15 mins on the treadmill and 15 mins on the cross-trainer. Other day's i go for RPM.

HIIT is running like your being chased by a bulldog for 30 sec, then slow pacing for 60 sec then continuing running for your life for a nother 30 sec and then slow pace again, with repetition! google it up for more info.
From personal experience ( i do it everyday :S ) if doing properly...you will be really breathless by the 4-5 set..depending on your stamina/ability!

btw guys just want to know. Instead of a circuit set consisting of 2-4 different muscle groups, can i do 1 muscle group but in a circuit way? Like..

for chest = benchpress -> fly -> decline -> incline ->cable fly. ( 3 sets of 12 reps ) 10 sec interval before going on to next exercise and 1 min interval between each set...

Or isit better to do chest bicep abs 1 day, shoulder legs one day and finally abs back and triceps on the last day?

Guys, if you want to loose weight, does whey protein help? Or is it better to jus take fat burners.

I do circuit training every alternate days and go for RPM every day. Days that i dont go for RPM, i do HIIT for 10-15 mins and some cardio for another 15 mins.

Dumbell effective in weight losing meh? I thought its used for gaining muscles  biggrin.gif

When you build muscles, your fat gets burnt faster. Also, doing circuit lifting allows your heart rate to be a constant high level, burning more fat's then conventional lifting.

Guys need the honest truth. Last April when i checked my body fat mass was 43.9kg. Today i checked, its 32.5

My question, is that very bad? I think i have not achieved much..Just started doing circuit training replacing my usual " strength " weight lifting.

But just want to know, the reduction in fat mass, is that a normal number or is a very bad reduction ( im thinking its the later cry.gif cry.gif )

If you eat and exercise with very short time period, your bound to get gastric! Eat at least 2 hours 30 mins before workout!

Here's a good song to get those spirited sprinting on. 6 minutes of intense sprinting! If this cant get you, nothing can!
