It depends on what diet program you choose. Got many out there.

But I can say not eating supper is a mistake...you need to eat 3 main meal with at least 3 small meals
in between.

Weight loss is also not a one time thing...do it is small steps. If you are extremely fat, take a break every 10Kg (or 5Kg) you reduced. Best is to combine 2~3 weeks of dieting and 1~2 weeks of eating more food (healthy food of course). Then start dieting again and repeat the cycle.

Regarding skipping or jogging, it depends on how heavy you are. Most ppl dun want to train like an athlete in order to reduce weight but some dun mind.....Just walk abt 10K a day should be enough. If you can reduce weight by just walking no need to accelerate it by jogging or running. Cause ones your body learns to lose weight by needing to do intensive cardio workout...walking than means little to your dieting. But its good to jog at least once a week.

I'm not pro, i'm also now on a diet plan. I've tried a few plan previously. Considerably reduce a lot of Kgs, and gaining it back. But the current plan I'm in makes sense. So i'm sticking with it.

does that mean we'll stop losing weight once the muscles adapt??then what happens when we go on with the usual routine even tho our body has adapted?

Actually, you have to balance your diet with mild exercise. Exercise doesn't mean once a week, more like periods of the day. Example in the morning to noon, you have to do a certain amount of steps or exercise in order to burn of calories from the breakfast. And in the afternoon and night you need to burn of the calories. A good thing about walking you can increase some intensity by mixing some amounts of jogging or stretching/pushups until you sweat, than continue walking again. You can always go to the gym for some weight lifting once or twice a week or swimming.

I've tried many methods of weight management, the best is the slow gradually down step by step way and fast walking (mix with some jogging).
The worst was lose weight fast and had to exercise like an athlete! Once you don't do it or fedup/give up than weight will shot up again like it once was.
And its not easy to recover from it, since you are used to exercise like an athlete to lose than much weight, when it goes back up you have to diet and Exercise even more until you get sick of it and give up.

So take it easy and lose weight gradually in steps. It better to lose 10kg a month than 15kg a month. Lose 10Kg first, than stop diet for a week or two and start your attack again for another 10Kg. The person that lost 15kg a month may or may not be able to lose another 15kg the next month because he is tired of the workouts and dieting. Remember to always eat protein and fibers even when you are not dieting. Exercise is a must always.

Sorry to say, its not easy to lose weight, maintaining it is even harder. Sometimes you cry that all the work you did so hard and suddenly your weight starts increasing, and no amount of exercise or dieting help...than you simply give up and feel stress out that layers upon layers of fat start to creep back into your body. When you re-bounce back to fat and stabilize, start attacking again...but properly this time round.
