QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ Aug 21 2010, 02:07 PM) What is TRA? As I said, depends on your effort and intensity - not duration.Btw, tabata is like HIIT right? Only difference is its done in 4 mins? Which would be better? 20 mins of HIIT or 4 mins of Tabata? Tabata is a type of HIIT. 20secs all-effort work, 10 secs rest. Go give it a try first and see if you can still breathe after 4 mins. |

QUOTE(night @ Aug 24 2010, 11:33 AM) Your lunch looks heavy. I'm quite surprised that you don't feel bloated after having such protion. My daily lunch used to be exactly like yours except the fruit and I'm usually bloated after that. But instead of fruit, I had fruit juice. You do know why you're bloated right?Fruit contains fibre. Veges contain fibre. Fruit juice doesnt. Fruits are way better than fruit juice. |

QUOTE(orang90 @ Sep 2 2010, 09:55 PM) how about my other question? Since you have a lot of excuses :eating cracker and drink a lot of water? and im still in college.. so hard for me to do cardio.. ulang alik dari college ke rumah... 1) Trade your gaming time to doing something else. Clean the house. Sleep early. Plan your meals. Learn to cook. 2) Stop eating in front of the computer. |

QUOTE(kurtkob78 @ Sep 3 2010, 05:35 PM) why is it many woman after pregnancy, they will gain weight ? Is it because their metabolism go down or what ? 1) they ate too much during pregnancy thinking that it's their right to gorge whatever they want since they're "eating for two"; and just like any other weight gain, losing weight is hard especially if you havent done it before.2) your hormones level is altered, a lot more estrogen flooding your body. if you dont already know, estrogen reduces muscle mass and increases fat storage 3) this fat storage is needed for breastfeeding, where mommies burn 500-1000kcals (it's like running 10km) everyday. but since most moms nowadays choose not to breastfeed, the fat remains. -- I personally try to control my food during pregnancy. A fetus needs only 300kcals a day (more towards end of pregnancy), so eating double is really an overkill. I gained 8kg so far (baby, water, placenta, blood, fat) - whereas lots of people actually gained 10-30kg. I also plan to breastfeed My friend lost all of her pregnancy weight (and some more) after 4 months of breastfeeding. It's doable. Just harder if you havent done the weight loss thing the right way (not starving) before. |

QUOTE(kurtkob78 @ Sep 3 2010, 10:52 PM) ic, i told my wife to breatfeed but she said pain. If she breastfeed more maybe she more slim by now Pain is relative no? I'd rather breastfeed than to run 10k everyday Also got different if scissor or normal birth with respect to weight gain ? Also I heard that woman who undergo scissor can not lift heavy things. so no strength training ? Weight gain is same for caesar n normal. But I found out that women who caesar tend to lose weight slowly because just like any abdominal surgical operation, you need more time to recover before doing serious weight training. Even leg presses also will require core supports right? Caesar moms are advised to keep their babies at least 2 years apart. Can imagine how long the recovery period is? QUOTE(Celest-Lee @ Sep 4 2010, 12:53 AM) my weight was 55kg before pregnant. When pregnant I was 90kg. After give birth, drop to 80 but then go up again, cant control my eating habit due to used to eat for two. Then took me 2 years to get down to 60kg. And now Im going up again to 68kg!!! Arrrggghhh frustrated =.= Wahlao. Did you have gestational diabetes when you were pregnant? That's some serious weight gain.Added on September 4, 2010, 12:55 am yes i have C section before. So, my MIL dont allow me lift up things, or even urut. Make me got tummy =( Also, our society pampers pregnant mommies a lot. Wanna do exercise also cannot. So if you rest for 9 months + 2 months (confinement), it's very very very hard to get back to your exercise routine. I was still running at 7 months and only stopped cause after that, bladder pressure made me wanna pee every 5 minutes |

QUOTE(orang90 @ Sep 4 2010, 11:34 PM) No wonder you're overweight. Are your family members overweight too? This no-vege trait is usually a result of your family not introducing them to you when you were younger, which is not surprising if they dont eat veges themselves. |

Avoiding food you love will lead to depravation - hence craving, hence pigging out if you're frustrated.
There's this nasi lemak that contains half the calories, carbs, fat of my favourite nasi lemak.... it's half of my favourite nasi lemak. Portion control yo. |

Lost 8kg after 2 weeks of childbirth. 2kg away from pre-preggers weight. I have a feeling I'll be lighter after baby compared to before
But I wouldnt recommend 'having a baby' as a weight loss strategy tho |
