I agree.
Till now I reduced my sugar intake one(1) teaspoon of sugar/condensed milk.
Will try to make it '0'.

I see you guys mentioned leptin.

Anyone taking it in the form of pills etc.?

Together with diet and exercise though.

I am back here after long time,

after working I gained a lot of weight.. well really alot that's like 10kg
It's impossible to keep up with the diet program which once I keep up to, really difficult to prepare your own food here, eating in the company's canteen - Nasi Lemak, Noddles, Rice, Curry, Fried Chicken, Teh Tarik etc..

After that due to overtime, keeping my schedule to exercise is being irregular even though I still force myself to do it after work.

Anyone working now can mind to share their experience?

I think everyone would agree that RICE makes us fat.

Losing weight = cut down rice.

No rice since Mac 2010.
Makes me sleepy, headache each time after eating it.
Insulin thingy.

Maintain 65kg now.

I guess my blood type can't take some things.
Some can eat meat/mutton, others cannot; headache.

PS: craving though when watching those fresh cooked rice drool.gif ; FIGHTING!!!!!

I don't eat rice but more veggies, tofu, chicken etc.
And noodles made from veggies.

Cannot eat anything rice based (rice cake, bihun); headache.
Weird me.

I watched this health show 'Vitamin' on KBS World [391]
You guys should watch it.
Rerun this Sunday at 11.40pm.

Episode regarding obesity.
They mentioned leptin (I asked about it few posted above).
Multivitamins, vitamin C, Omega 3, Coenzyme Q10 etc.

The programme said those stuff can help losing weight.
Each of us have different body functions.
Losing weight and burning fat need extra help from supplements

Alcohol/liquor prevents weight loss.

You guys should watch it and share your opinions here.

True.

But I think the diet of our forefathers were better than us.

Back then there's no fast food, MSG etc.

That's why some of them can live till 100++ years old.

Us? 20's already died of heart attack.

Hi.

Can 'Omega 3' and 'Coenzyme q10' supplements help weight loss; especially love handles.

Also, Siberian tea as well.

Hi.

I made a conclusion myself.

To lose weight; LESS CARB and MORE PROTEIN.
Zero (0) carb even better.

But ONCE you reached your ideal weight, then it's ok to continue consuming carbs again.

Different people, different body metabolism.
Try it and you'll see.

Rice and bread are known for carbs but they contributes to become fat in our body.
There are evidence where stop eating rice and you can lose weight.
I know it's difficult since we've been eating rice since birth.

So, '0' carb (better) and more protein to lose weight.

No rice since March 2010 (> a year now for me) and my weight maintained at 65 kg/ 170cm.

Jogging 30 minutes 6-7 times a week.
Abs crunch and dumbells.
Will add barbell soon.

Go to YouTube for Scott Herman Fitness. Good tips for weight training at home or gym.

PS: Don't BUTTHURT by bashing me, I'm just sharing my experience; 2 cents.

beans especially kidney beans and etc are low glycemic carbohydrate source. it wont spike ur insulin and therefore is very useful in weight loss.
Peanuts is also good, but just need to make sure u dont over do it.moderate is the key to success. overloading with peanut will give u the opposite effect.
almonds are good also ( pricy )

u can try shan dong pagoda groundnuts..LOL! but once i start, i cant stop.. =.=

I know the feeling; my favorite biggrin.gif

Beans recommended.

Seems like it's difficult to find L-Carnitine in pharmacy.

A forumer recommend Jarrow Formulas, Acetyl-L-Carnitine Arginate 500, 500 mg, 100 Capsules.
He's using it and felt it gave him energy.
He's in his 50's biggrin.gif

http://www.iherb.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Acety...sules/2495?at=0

So I decided to buy Apple Juice Drink with L-Carnitine from Cosway.
RM118 for 500ml.

I'll share the results after a few months.

5'7" and 63kg.
Diet and jogging 45 minutes x 4 time a week.

I came to a conclusion that diet and exercise/weight training alone is not enough to shed those love handles/spare tyre etc.

We still need to take some supplements because for some, their body lack fat burning agent.

L-Carnitine is an option.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

A month now stopped.
But changed to walking 2.4km EVERYDAY.

What do you guys think?

Which one is better?

In my opinion, whichever keep your heart rate higher and makes you sweat faster.

I need help with my weight since I am considered as fat with my weight being 63kg and not to mention I am not really that tall (159 cm only). I've been going to the gym but one problem I have is my tummy, sometimes I think I have a 1 month old baby.  cry.gif

Apart from the sit-ups, and crunches, do you guys have any method that helps me flatten my tummy. It doesn't matter for me to have tummy abs, I just want to have a flat stomach, or at least it is not revealed.

Oh, another thing which I want to get rid of my flabby arms, I have taken up some weights (3 kg sometimes 4kg) but is it alright for me to take weights. I am afraid that I will have arms like Serena Williams  shocking.gif
*

Basic would be eating less + exercise (to burn those fat).

Take it slow.

Even if you lose 0.5kg a month is better than gaining weight.

In a week can see weight reducing.

PS: It's hard to control our appetite; I know sweat.gif

Afternoon all.

How's life.

Near a month now I started own diet.
Stopped buying from stalls.

I cooked myself.
Brown rice, garlic, onions, veggies etc.
Boiled eggs; only the white egg...threw away the yolk.

Any of you guys ate instant noodles?
Maggie, Mamee etc.

I know it's not recommend,
But sometimes...cravings tongue.gif

PS: Maggie Asam Laksa drool.gif drool.gif

Any of you are on a veggie diet only?

How's it going?

Most six pack seekers are on this type of diet.
