agreed, based on personal experience, even in my own opinion it is dieting but after a chat here, i discover that I'm not there .. cry.gif

Well, it's always the tasty food not healthy one la. Common sense la, you work out everyday yet you're drinking/eating tones of oil into your stomach, how can it helps you to lose weight? biggrin.gif

Anyway, I started my gym this morning, surprisingly that I didn't feel that tired at work and until now still feel good. Hopefully I'll be able to complete this trial peacefully and later, get to see some difference when it ends. If it's that good, I think no harm in signing up a gym tongue.gif

but i tot we shudn't eat if we're not hungry?
its weird but nowadays i don't feel hungry until lunchtime when i only had a small cup of goat's milk with egg.then i heaad to the gym 1 hour+ after my breakfast and am not hungry till <45 minutes after i'm done with my workouts.I eat when i'm hungry (which incidentally is lunnch/dinner time),so am i on d losing weight track?
*
I used to think like you, eat only when feeling hungry but actually it's not like this. Sometimes when your stomach is full with winds, you won't feel hungry also, but is that healthy?

Anyway, I do propose the idea of having 5 meals a day, at least la 5 meals and eat in a small portion, and healthy food. It helps in losing weight also and certainly, you'll get a better health. At least it works for me smile.gif

LOL I try 5 meals......buut usually I take 3 meals but regular sized lor-1 plate less rice more veggie
*
Urm???? 1 plate less rice more veggie??
Well, then I'll suggest you to read through the whole V1 and V2 please. A lot of forumers shared the ideal meal here before and from there , you learn how to prepare 5 meals a day.

Why do you need rice? If you're aiming to lose weight then why not just cut it down or completely throw it off? I'm been like taking less than a bowl of rice for one month or in fact, in few months time. So, is rice really needed in your daily life? Replace it with something else like protein, fibre and etc, rice is just plain too sweet and carbs for me thus I just throw it away.

At least after I have 5 - 8 meals a day, I'm getting healthier and paying lesser money to the doctors smile.gif

no i didn't indicate or say rice is the ONLY glucose provider.
*
Because I was asking you if possible, just throw away rice but you're telling me that it seems like the only source for glucose, thus I wonder how important rice is in your life until you are reluctant to cut it down?

Hi, is having 4 slices of whole grain fibre meal with coffee every morning healthy?
*
Personally I don't think only bread with coffee is healthy for daily breakfast tongue.gif

Helped you fixed it to something more realistic.
The first few kilos are the easiest to lose, it gets harder to drop the more you lose. I personally wouldn't recommend anyone to drop 25% of their total bodyweight in a month of two.

After a few success stories, you might want to consider shifting from the weighing scale to the mirror. I find too many people too preoccupied with 'weight' when what they want is how they 'look'.
*
Agree. Personally I lost 15kgs and I can say, it was seriously very difficult to throw all the 15kgs. Now I don't look at the weighing scale at all. The kgs might be the same but my body is still getting slimmer and thinner tongue.gif

i am currently 58KG, 155CM. wish to lose around AT LEAST 5 KG before August, can it be achievable? :S
*
Can, starve yourself for the remaining days until August then certainly you have no problem to throw away 5kg
but once you start to eat again, then you'll get back double?

There isn't any shortcut smile.gif

Aiks.... so scary...... I think i just stick to my exercise plan.... But you know, its hard to avoid any oily and fatty foods...... unless you eat bread everyday, even without the margarine. XD
*
It's not difficult to avoid oily and fatty food. Bread isn't that healthy for you to eat for 3 meals a day for everyday.
Chicken breast is not fatty and oily, vegetables, dory fish, lean meat, fruits are all not oily and fatty.

If you don't want oil, then don't add oil for your vegetables, instead of pan fry, then just boil without oil.
Same with the meat, if don't want to use oil, then just steam/boil
So, how difficult it is for people to avoid fatty and oily foods?

Oh my God, from my last post I have been diligently going to Fitness First to workout.
My workout now: Cardio 3x a week, weights 2 x...what do u guys think?

I did notice some difference, not much lah but I feel much better.
Anyone heard about International Fitness Week or not around your area? I wonder whether it's going to be fun :-/
Supposedly endorsed by Mel B of Spice Girls
*
I heard of that too, but not too sure what's that all about
Oh, spice girls, I miss them tongue.gif

anyone know where can i get cheaper chicken breast? i got mine now from cold storage and it costs rm8-10 for two small pieces..
sad.gif  sad.gif
*
Chicken breast price @ Jusco is RM0.99/100g. Cold Storage is more expensive. If you're lazy to go wet market (Which sometimes also can be around same price with Cold Storage), Jusco will be better choice.

Yah I just found out got FREE 7-Day pass from 19-25 March. Anyone can come in Fitness First during that time! If only I knew about it, I would have waited til then to join la.
But heard some good activities happening then. Cannot wait for it. Hey come too lah, maybe we can buddy buddy go workout for free!
I am more worried about whether the Chicken is "clean" or not, meaning organic or free range. I don't like those big big chicken: cheap but I am not sure if it's healthy :/

On a separate note, I have lost 2 kgs, so proud! =)
*
Where's your location about? Perhaps can arrange for a workout together smile.gif
The chicken at Jusco are clean, as far as I notice, the chicken from Carrefour and Giant aren't fresh most of the time. I only get from morning market nearby when I don't have time to go for grocery shopping at the shopping mall. Anyway, if you'll want only fresh clean chicken, wet market is the best choice. I don't believe in so call organic chicken la smile.gif

I don't count on my weight anymore now, but already build up a better shape for my arms, and waist smile.gif
Aiming to be 23 before May smile.gif

how do u cook the chicken?
microwave?

do u marinate it first before freezing it?
*
pan grilled, steam, pan fry, grilled, roast
i don't quite like the idea of microwave the chicken, unless i'm really running out of time

depends, for what kind of dishes i want to cook lo, some i do marinate first but some i don't
but for sure will defrost then marinate for overnight before cook smile.gif
