QUOTE(notroxcity @ Aug 14 2011, 08:02 AM) thinking about heading down to lowyat plaza to buy an agility 3 60GB...latest firmware is 2.11 rite? any issues under that firmware? n how can i update the firmware if the SSD is used as boot drive? plug it in to a external enclosure and plug it via USB to update is it? plug to other PC to update. u cannot use external enclosure . must use mobo sata port and set it to ahci. if as boot drive u cannot update as well.

QUOTE(cannavaro @ Aug 14 2011, 05:42 PM) Don't know about other brands, but the latest OCZ Toolbox allows you to update even if it's a bootdrive. edit: Actually not the latest toolbox. It was ALREADY doable in version 2.31. Latest one is 2.39 i do not know about that. but i cannot even detect my ssd if it is used as boot drive. even with 2.39 toolbox.. QUOTE(everling @ Aug 24 2011, 01:09 PM) I hope you're aware of the ~3,000 writes limit. If you have secure erased your SSD a hundred times, you have reduced your SSD's write lifespan by ~3.33%. At that rate, your SSD would be dead in less than a year. yes i do. thats y i am afraid y is my ssd still not getting the original speed. coz i havent write it more than 3000 cycles not even a 100 cycle also... infact the other ssd which is a used one still maintain the correct speed. this one is new bro... am not getting what i have paid for.

QUOTE(owikh84 @ Aug 24 2011, 04:05 PM) Try plug the SSD on another PC and report back. do you think there is something wrong with my system. coz it was ok on the 1st day. speed dropped the second day. and thats only after 2 times benchmark. since then i tried secure erase 3 times already. btw i dont have another pc to hook it into.
