So I'm planning to get a SSD for my new system with sata3.

Choices I have now are:
Agility3 60GB - around RM 460, but really afraid of the unreliability. 
Vertex3 60GB - same, but aroun RM520
Intel 320 160GB - RM 550 from owikh, 1 month warranty.  Read speeds not too great, but write speeds are much better than the rest of my choices.
Crucial M4 64GB - around RM450 (can anyone get it cheaper?), but no warranty or very troublesome expensive warranty.  Speeds are comparable to the sandforces, but seems like much more reliable. 

I don't really need a large capacity, it is meant to be a boot drive plus 1 or 2 games.  I would like to take advantage of the sata3 port that I will have, so I'm leaning more towards crucial/Sandforce.  Not too fond of the Sandforces but I would like to hear from anyone who has used the vertex/agility 3 on a newer sata controllers.  I heard that the sandforce is not too happy on older controllers.   

So for now, I'm leaning more towards the crucial M4s, but of course there is the warranty problem.  Any advice?  Any guys used the M4's before?

When will you be ordering?  I am actually going to australia next week, was thinking of getting it there, but the price is around 450, same as ordering direct from Crucial.  Tax there is high.  I suppose if I split with you, I will save 15 USD or RM 45. 
Planning to get the asrock extreme 4 z68 with intel controllers I think.

Anandtech had put out an article that said it is an issue with some systems, while problem free on others.  He had found problems on a z68 board he tested and many others, but on an intel board, he could not reproduce the problems.  No one can pinpoint the actual cause of the problem yet, but make no mistake, there is a problem with the sandforces.

Marvell 9174.  Same with the intel 510s if i'm not mistaken, but with very very different firmwares.

my 60gb team xtreme SSD now seems like dying already. only 4 months old.

if used as primary HDD, windows 7 will hang in few minutes.

if used as secondary HDD, it will get disconnected after few minutes & cannot view in My Computer.

How to made my SSD run in AHCI mode? i have done the steps needed in window by modify the registry, change the setups in BIOS, but when i check with AMD Overdrive, it is running in IDE mode?
or any better software to check d SSD running mode? I can;t find it in INtel SSD Optimizer though

Just some quick question, will extra rm200 worth the money to spend on Sata 3 ssd compare to spending on ocz vertex 2 (sata 2) ssd?

Bought a Intel 320 160GB 1.8inch and put in into my HP mini 210 netbook ~



satisfy the performance on netbook  except write and 4K QD32 mark is quite slow compare to other ppl 

My previous experience with C300 (marvell) is not pleasant, as there was still some lag. For snadforce based SSDs, I find OCZ the best as they have their own say over the firmware. Corsair is relying heavily on sandforce on firmware release.

Instances of fault unit have been minimal. Those who have problem would tend to complain more. While those are okay with their sandforce would keeping a low profile. Human behaviour.

Personally, I have not much issue with sandforce. If not, I would have switch camp already. :wink:
