Curious here...
Is the 2.66 GHz Mac Mini faster or slower then the 1.4GHz MBA?

whoa. ouch. erm...try browsing and searching in lowyat trade zone. it's cheaper here. I know Ajul and bruceleestore are selling them reasonably priced. BTW, the LCD broke cannot fix one mer? Need to buy the whole thing again?
*
It's a 2004 Macbook... I don't think it's worth fixing.... Will bring it to the service center tmr to get a price quote....
The thing is I need a laptop while I'm in Australia... Will be here for 12 days and the Mac here are very much more expensive... ><

u can get one from hikari85. 2.5" casing can get at any PC shop tongue.gif

carbon copy cloner should be good. im using superduper but it's paid. u can also juz use Disk Utility "Restore" function
*
So, I just put the new HDD into the casing then plug it in to my MBP to clone, then only install into the laptop right?

hi guys, i need your opinion on this

i am planning to buy macbook, my choice now either macbook pro 13" and macbook air 11"

but i prefer MBA 11" because its small and very thin, easy for travelling

i'm using my laptop for works and web browsing, not much of multimedia, but i need cd tray sometimes which is not present in MBA

1. do apple have external cd tray which is also thin, easy for travelling?

2. which one of the two last longer, provided that i dont have desktop and use my laptop mostly for my work and web browsing smile.gif .

3. i like to use cooling fan which we put at the side of laptop (esp for travelling), not the usual one which we put at bottom (too huge to carry for travelling). does MBA have that type of cooling fan? i'm afraid the side-cooling fan that i normally use for pc does not fit MBA

thanks for advice.. smile.gif

Guys... My magsafe charger is not working out of a sudden....
I bought my macbook pro in Aus... Where do I claim my warranty?

Also, If I partitioned my Hard disk and installed windows via bootcamp, can I still clone my hard disk and have everything the same?

3rd boot was the fastest for me. Almost as fast as the SSD. Why not just use normal ram from Kingston or Corsair? Isn't the RAM from Apple Reseller expensive?
*
The guy told me it's RM688... Kingston.... I think I'll rather pay a little more for the guarantee... laugh.gif
