This would be my first time doing a serious mod. Here's the list of everything will be/are included in the mods.

Powder coating took around a day to complete. Sent it to a shop just behind my house. Friendly guy, was very informative regarding my skeptics. Of course gave the best price. A reminder for those doing powder coating, MAKE SURE YOU COVER THE THREADED SCREW HOLES. Or else it will be a PITA getting your screws in after powder coating. My first epic failure with this mod was not covering the crew holes

With some effort and ghetto tactics, i did manage to use all required screw holes

Hit a couple of snags with the mobo tray and PSU mounting. Thanks to some ghetto mods, all are easily dealt with

First thing to do after back from powder coat, re-fitting (too damn afraid screw holes have gone useless)

Overall the i would rate the coat job 8/10. minus 2 points for some parts not fully coated (i can overlook this anyway), and coating is peel-able/scratch-able (quite hard to achieve this but i did peeled/scratched off some area while working on it). 8 points mostly for the PRICE and friendly people working there. Now i'm thinking of doing a service for LYN

Update Weekend August 9th 2010

it was a busy weekend, but managed to squeeze in some mod time.

test mount bitspower x station, tried some of those LiLi fans. quiet but not enough ummppphhh!



disaster strikes, epic failure no. 2!

top cover triple rad mount. forgot to secure one side of LiLi's top cover. that's what you get





reapply more masking tape before cutting the top blow hole



definitely a lesson learned, double check everything before taking the plunge. now, damage control.

heheheee, i got 4 GTs with me now. 5 more on the way inside airplane
powder coat is super cheap, but not totally scratch proof. I assure you not more than RM100 without paint stripping

salah tulis bro, 'not less' should be 'not more'. apesal aku banyak salah tulis harini.

powder coat haf932 is around rm100, extra charges to me to dismantle your case. if you can pop rivets yourself, cheaper
but i would suggest you go for haf-x, all black interior around RM550++
haf932 - rm430 + powder coat rm100

nope i did not do it myself. but i did all rivets popping myself, LOL. this is done at a coating shop near my house.
i was thinking of buying a tj07 myself, but opted for this one because it's rm300 less and pretty rare to find a build on it.
can send your case to me. max rm100 only

gloss takde arr reben. semi gloss ada tapi tak recommended. they kinda do a lousy job on the semi gloss coat based on the sample i got. flat black (rough surface) on the other hand, mmg cun.

more updates in 2-3 days. now have to go back and design some rad grills (using your 1mm alu) and side panel window

gloss diorang ni buat tak rata. mainly maybe because clientele diorang just org buat pagar rumah je aku tengok. so takde workmanship as good as those car paint shop.

kalau airbrush aku nak gambar awek bogel je, tu yg susah sikit nak buat tu

aha aku send aku nyer case gergasi tu kat carshop.. fuh..lawa mcm kereta je dorang spray , tapi yg kecik2 aku spray sendiri ar

those parts are riveted. they are connected using rivets. to remove them rivets need to use small nails and drill.

Owhh I see. If Im about to go to hardware store, what shall I tell em' regarding such tools?? Any specific name, size etc??

here's what you'll need.

to remove the rivets
-small nail - one/two only just to whack the small holes on the rivets.
-hand drill, goes for around rm20. electric drill, better but cost a lot more.
-3mm drill bit, look for the short ones if available.

to rivet your case back
-riveter, rm16 at carrefour
-rivet nails. normal or countersunk head rivets.

for instructions, head on to youtube and search 'popping rivets'/'remove rivets'.

Darn, its hard than what it thought!!

I tried some on unused casing, but seems too hard to handle.. Maybe need to be more patient..

aku tgh budget ni. bila budget dah cukup, takde masa pulak nak jumpa abe ron

it's not about patience, it's more about doing it with the right technique.



on the image (on the right) above, poke your small nail into the small hole. whack it with a hammer, whack carefully and lightly so your case won't get damaged (it will if you overdo it).



now you need to whack it so the thing inside the rivet case will be pushed out (refer image above), or at least moved further from the small hole. you need the space for your drill to work.



now you can use the hand drill like this guy did in his video. hehehehee, i know this guy is active on the forum

if you don't whack the small hole, it won't be this easy to remove them rivets from your case. IF STILL HAVE TROUBLE REMOVING, I CAN DO IT FOR YOU. I NEED THE MONEHHH, LULz...

here's the result of my sidepanel window cut. cutting made possible using waterjet. the cut is clean, no burn marks done by our friend RonModz



a closer look, measurements were a little bit off. but still good for a huge peek. will shoot more pictars when i get my acrylic window cover done. anyone want to source me acrylic window?

nope. it has multiple connectors on the board. the board itself has some voltage regulator function (i don't know what it is, never took electronics seriously at school).

there are 5v, 7v, and normal 12v connectors. yeah it will stress the psu a bit. but no problem. i don't use all of the connectors anyway.

there are 5 molex pin.... all need to plug in ?
