dealing method means that how u want to deal with the buyer/seller? how u want to pay for the items? by cash or via online? if COD = cash on delivery means u meet the seller/buyer face to face, and settle it. If not, means u just deal through online...transfer money or etc. U can do it by transfer and meet up to collect the items, but for safety reason ( in case u r in doubt ) then just do COD and pay after u see and satisfied with the item in real...

of course COD can be considered as the safest way, but there are still a lot of people being conned even tho they do COD, just check the Trade Zone's dispute threads and you'll see how cunning conmen can be.

I've been doing quite a lot of transaction via postage (as buyer almost all the time), so far so good. Just remember to take precautionary steps...try not deal with new members if you can't COD.

http://forum.lowyat.net/TradeZoneResourceCentre got lot of info regarding transaction methods here

but in the end, it's up to the buyer/seller to act wisely.

Added on August 4, 2010, 12:51 amregarding to items safety during postage, if the seller is responsible,, they'll will pack the item nicely.

as for Safe Trader, generally, they are safe as it is not easy to get the tag, they have to earn it! but again, it's not 100% guarantee.

There is

Postage - You courier service like poslaju,DHL,TNT and etc to delivery (Not recommended)
COC - Cash on collection means u go collect and pay
COD - Cash on Delivery means u meet the seller test until happy and pay
Safetrade - There will be a middle person provide such service

Example u buyer
Buyer bank in money to middle man
Seller send goods to middle man
When middleman confirm both item arrive safely he will then send the goods to buyer and transfer your funds to seller when both confirm

Nope LYN Safetrade is different

Safetrade LYN means the seller got very good trade records you are allow to get a safe trade tag it doesnt guarantee he/she/it wont con you only reduce the risk compare to someone without it

GC? but if you worried about fragile items, extra wrapping and stuff should...opt for courier service (dhl/poslaju).
For fragile items that i want to order, i'll check the seller thread to find out whether he/she wrapped it nicely and the previous buyer satisfied with the packing.

Siggy is not liar. It's signature, like the one in the bottom of my every post.

yeah, u can check in the thread linked by aspire2oo6

to make it easier use this
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/19575/?author=[username]

example is my tradelist
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/19575/?autho...rgeant%20Pepper

even if the tradelist is nice, double of it with the sellers thread..and if you're want to really confirm, you can PM 2-3 of the previous buyer asking for their experience dealing with the seller.
