Tsubasa Honda & Joe Odagiri are cast in new BeeTV live-action drama series GOZEN 3 JI NO MUHOUCHITAI, based on a manga series by Youko Nemu. Nobuhiro Yamashita ("Linda Linda Linda") & Rikiya Imaizumi will direct the 12 episode series. Storyline depicts a young woman's work and love life. The woman wants to become an illustrator, but currently designs "pop" signs (colorful store posters usually tacked on the entrance of shops) for gambling parlors. watching new JDrama..

Saki
this is a sequel (?) for Utsukushi Rinjin [2011]. Nakama Yuki reprises the character Saki. ive watched 2 episodes, so far it just okay-ish. but i loved Utsukushi Rinjin, so this is must watch.

Dinner
so far, its so good.. i love cooking, this is very yummy.. 2 very good episodes, hopefully more to come.. though they made a weak efforts on side dishes (side stories).. and other characters, other than the new head chef and the sous chef, are not really outstanding..

Other than Teppan shown on TV Al-Hijrah, is there any other local TV station airing Japanese drama these days? Why 8TV no longer playing J-dorama on Saturday? cry.gif

currently watching..
Saki
Dinner
Itsuka Hi no Ataru Basho de sort of 'woman drama'.. remind me of Mother + Shiroi Haru. ex-prisoner, find feet outside prison, bakery, parent/mother-daughter love, family register etc.. the story are quite good but the acting are poor..
Shotenin Michiru no Mi no Uebanashi nice first episode.. will watch it further.. Toda Erika looked so skinny and less attractive these days.. still love her acting though..

Watching:

Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou - Probably my 2nd favorite drama this season. I like books, not literature though which the show mostly emphasizes on and I've never heard of the titles even, too old for me. But people who likes books will find this show interesting. As well as those who likes investigations/mysteries. Can't help but be amazed by the main character's ability to solve mysteries just by the books' appearance or contents. The casts are doing pretty good job so far. Will definitely continue till the end.

Saikou no Rikon - My 3rd favorite drama. I had high expectations for this because of the cast, am not wrong and not disappointed. It sure is a good drama so far. But something's missing and I don't know what. Just feels like it.

Dinner
- My FAVORITE of the season. I didn't have much hope and thought it's just another food drama. But Eisuke sure takes the winner here. He's more than good, he's perfect for his character. They chose well for the casts. Watching the whole politics and work behind at the kitchen opens my eyes on how to run a gourmet restaurant. Looking forward to the episode every week.

Sharehouse no Koibito - The main reason I watch this is for Mizukawa. One of the actresses I like. Expect comedy and some sad stuffs going on but overall, a light- hearted drama.

Itsuka Hi No Ataru Basho de - I thought the first episode was okay and brought a really heavy depressing story but then, it slowly goes down the slope for me. I'm up to episode 3 and I'm thinking of quitting this show. I think the story-writing is a bit weak, and things just goes on and on forever with no development.

This season has been weak for me. I can't help but look forward to next season already!

Don't worry... tomoro 8TV will brings back jdorama slots smile.gif They will air Hungry! starting tomoro @ 3pm. Juz finished it recently, going to watch 2nd time on TV
BTW Teppan is a heart warming dorama. im not usually watch asadora but this one is not bad, quite interesting
Speaking of which both dorama featured the same heroine which is Miori Tokimoto

Currently watching Dinner. Very interesting one.. this time they focus on Italian cuisine

Just finish watching

Akuto~Juhanzai Sosahan 2011

Interesting plot with difference approach for solving cases. Overall OK some cases we can expect the ending.

3/5 Stars

Beautiful Rain 2012

Melodrama, skeptical storyline between father and daughter with father got incurable disease.
I love Ashida Mana here.. i just can't take my eyes of her very cute and adorable .. great acting as a daughter.
Another child actor i love here Takagi serai as kotaro , miu best friend very dorky and funny love to act like adult..he really catch my attention. Quiet slow with predictable ending but I really hope they can expand more the end until Miu being grown up and get all the present from her father it will be more touching scene.

3/5 stars

Suitei Yuuzai 2012

I love investigation and thriller drama but this one i just can't take it. I watched first and second episode and directly jump to the final episode. Super dragging and actually all the story being summarize at the final episode actually u don't feel regret skipping middle episode bcoz is not effect ur understanding at all.

2/5 stars

Somato Kabushiki Gaisha

I found early episode really interesting but it just that it getting repetitive until the end. Same like suitei yuuzai you can get summary of the story at ep. 9 and ep. 10.

2/5 stars

I'm getting mental breakdown watching all this jdorama for two weeks..none of the drama really interesting...Disappointing and frustrating. doh.gif wasting my bandwidth download all the dramas... cry.gif

Okay i don't know if this is a good comparison but the theme is sharehouse. So from jdramas that I've watched having the same theme (although different character types), we have Last Friends and Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu. So you have 3 characters living under a roof, 1 girl and 2 guys. I can't really spoil much, but one of the guys is an alien (lol) and the girl thinks he's just joking. And from the synopsis, you should probably know the guy the girl fell in love with likes the alien. So it's one awkward and weird love triangle, all under one roof. Funny moments and some heart-warming ones.

I like it so far I'm definitely finishing. I don't know if it's your type, maybe don't put much expectation and try the first 2 episodes maybe?
