There wl be a one and only special temprorary  Deepavali HD channel OLI HD on 222, most likely wl rerun earlier HD programmes , thats the biggest  offer for the Indian communtity this deepavali!

The way  i see they are short of channels space  why always one channel has to close and  one starts ? Experts pls explain !

Well Not much of HD anyway most of AXN does not seem HD to me ! Upscaled better the their SD but not great HD xcept for NGC

You don't have to worry about Astro lawsuit, they already have one.

hrm.. i recall astro also did set foot in india, perhaps tata sky is astro's india services, of course with diff name but shares the similar gui etc... cheaper that way instead of hiring new bunch of ppl to setup another diff decoder n programming stuff... even that espn hd logo was the same as we had previously over here before switching to sg feed

play those celestial movies clip, the one with joey yung.... its 10Mbps for that channel... wow... its really good lol, highest bitrate of dvd specs... if its widescreen, it will be perfect lol

i know its kinda pathetic for the audio, but my usual concern would always be the pic quality =P and this one is crazy... 150Mbps.... can split to 5 channels of 30Mbps or 10 channels of 15 Mbps... =o

If you take a look at the image, you'll see that the video is compressed with H264. Not only that, it is INTERLACED video. So "150,000" is not 150 Mbps. Maybe it's just 15 Mbps.

DVD bandwidth are just that. You can't compare that to HD's H264.

hai all..noob here with astro beyond.
wanna ask if anybody here pasang the splitter for 1 astro beyond but 2 television?
i have been used a splitter before at my old astro so now im trying to do it with my astro beyond.is it possible?
will it effect the pic or sound or the hd channel?

Stesen televisyen definisi tinggi percuma, TV Al-Hijrah akan memulakan operasinya Disember ini dengan peruntukan awal kerajaan RM60 juta manakala Felda dijangka menyalurkan tambahan RM100 juta.

Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom berkata, peruntukan awal kerajaan bagi saluran gaya hidup Islam itu adalah sebanyak RM60 juta dan kos itu dijangka mengalami peningkatan.

“Keseluruhan pembiayaan datang daripada kerajaan tetapi kami berharap pulangan daripada iklan akan berupaya untuk menampung kos operasi stesen ini.

“Pada peringkat awal, kerajaan telah memperuntukkan RM60 juta,” kata beliau pada sidang media di sini hari ini.

Operasi stesen ini akan bermula 1 November manakala siaran pula 1 Disember.

Mm.. im confuse about TV al-Hijrah, will it available in HD??? I see that this channel has a test terrestial transmission around m'sia,, not sure if Astro can 'help' TV al-Hijrah to broadcast all over Malaysia.... where the news come from??

Pengerusi Felda Tan Sri Yusoff Nor dilantik sebagai pengerusinya Oktober tahun lalu.

Jamil juga berkata, pihaknya masih mengadakan perbincangan dengan Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia untuk mendapatkan lebih banyak spektrum siaran ke seluruh negara.

Peringkat awal stesen ini akan menyiarkan programnya ke seluruh Lembah Klang, Terengganu, Wilayah utara dan timur Johor, Sabah dan Sarawak.

“Kawasan ini sudah memperoleh spektrum daripada suruhanjaya komunikasi,” kata beliau lagi.

TV Al-Hijrah merupakan saluran televisyen Islam pertama negara Malaysia. Kini, Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (Jakim) juga memiliki radio hal ehwal Islam Salam FM.

Menurut maklumat diperoleh dari laman webnya, Al-Hijrah merupakan era baru evolusi maklumat hibur yang menawarkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman dunia Islam.
