We have paid RM20 every month to Astro what...+ RM10 more for PVR user... that's why they can't charge us more for Byond "after-sale" services...
If i'm not mistaken, Byond have lifetime warranty, isn't it?

Since SD channels are transmitted on Measat 3
While HD channels are transmitted on Measat 3A...
Transponder for Measat 3 will be used for all of SD channels+digital radio and TP for M3A will be used completely for HD channels...
Totally different satellite... so, bandwidth will not be the issue...
Unless if HD and SD channels are sharing the same satellite... then, astro probably will reduce the bitrate for SD channels to give room for bandwidth hungry HD channels...

That's why we can't trust Wiki so much...

BTW, I'm just subscribing to Movies package... Just for Star movies HD...

If I understand what they speak on that drama, surely I will download it everyday from megaupload....
On AOD, they provide BM subtitles for those who can't understand Cantonese but like to see the drama like me...

yes, I'm also feel a little bit annoying when I heard Korean drama that has been translated to Malay.....
Feel kinda weird.... subtitle is enough... and they should closed-caption it....

For Li HD, hurmm.. they show the upscaled + stretched videos....

Plus feel little bit annoying when Korean people "speaks" Malay....

BTW, Born Rich (TVB drama) on Zhi Zun HD, for my observation, the PQ was really awesome!

Hmm.. I really doubt that our teresterial TV will broadcast 100% in digital on 2015 based on current situation now....
Probably only RTM will do that... I don't see any sign for our private teresterial TV like TV3, NTV7, 8TV and TV9 broadcasting in digital currently....
I heard that TV3 already started their testing phase by broadcast in digital signal... they chose DMB-T/H as broadcast system....

Or they have feel satisfied with current performance now.
Plus, viewers for that kind of channels also didn't make any respond/request for them to upgrade their transmission method to HD or at least in Digital.... Most viewers feel what they watch on their CRT TV (again CRT TV and using normal antenna) are already good on their eyes....

It is different from us, who are a bit "advance" in terms of technology... we feel all of television station should migrate to Digital and HD broadcasting...

Actually, anyone who already owned Astro or Unifi (IPTV) they don't need another decoder to watch digital TV....
We're already digital.....

For those who are still watching Free TV through normal VHF/UHF antenna, yes, this kind of viewers need to buy special STB to watch digital TV....

I don't know what situation in Malaysia will be... But in US, anyone who owned direct TV, Dish network or Cable TV don't need special STB...

IPTV?? Aiyoooo... surely only urban and kaya2 area will be covered!
If u want to compete with Astro, make it available to whole malaysia!

If u request to upgrade from normal astro to Byond, RM20 per month is compulsary even though you only take RM37 package......

Unless.. if u upgrade from normal astro to PVR, then HD is optional. But RM10 is compulsary for PVR...

dish is compulsary to change...
but for cable is optional..
but better change everything to new set (only if ur set are more than five years...)
