Hi, just wanna know if there's any charges by AA (i.e.penalty. fee) for "no-show"....
Example: i book three tickets as a group but come to the actual date only myself can make it...would i be penalized for those two who's not coming...

This kind of situation happen to me last few months while travelling with another local airlines...We book and paid 3 return tickets (KL-Sandakan), but come to actual date one of my friend couldnt fly with us...during check-in, the counter staff told us that we need to inform them earlier in case of no show...otherwise we'll be penalised...i said whatta heck, got such thing arrr??? we already paid & summore not asking for refund ... shakehead.gif ...luckly it's on the company, so i just said "whatteve la".....

Maybe there was some miscommunication with the counter staff ? How can AA penalise you when AA have no access to your bank account or your wallet ?
The only reason AA want you to formally inform to cancel your ticket is probably they can reopen the seat and sell it to some one else.

That's exactly what the M*S counter staff told me...At that time i was worried she doesnt allow me to board until we settle the charges but then she told me the charges will be billed to the payer (in my case the company) rclxub.gif ....i bet she doesnt know what she saying... shakehead.gif
Anyway already follow-up with my account staff, no debit note or additional invoice received from M*S with regard that particular trip...

Thanks for the feedback icon_rolleyes.gif

i couldnt found any zero fare tickets cry.gif ...Perhaps i misunderstood...
FREE SEATS means either :
A) u can pick your seat number/location for free instead of paying RM5... rclxub.gif OR
B) free seating for all (like it used to be) laugh.gif

Greetings,

I did a Web-Check-In recently and did not take the Supersize Baggage option, i.e. meaning no luggage check-in.

Is it possible to still check-in my luggage at the airport for an additional charge?

Thanks notworthy.gif

In case u just overlook, u still can buy/upgrade the baggage allowance eventhough u already check-in...
just amend it through MANAGE MY BOOKING and then reprint the amended boarding pass...

Otherwise u can just buy at the counter before boarding..

Are you sure? I called up the customer service and they confirmed with me that I would not be able to amend anymore after web check in (for Manage My Booking that is).

My true experience...changed 6 hours before flight eventhough already web check-in...
u can try by yourself, just log in and u can still modify your in flight service....

Ah ok. Will try it when I fly with AA again and after i web check in.
Thanks for the great info!!

But its from my experience la...(during last raya return flights and coming 26th flight)...
i usually travel with ma wife & kid and flying frequently KL-KK....So being cheapsket, ill strategies my booking like these laugh.gif :

Whenever there is cheap tickets, i just bought and pay the tickets without all other optional services (i.e. advance seat, baggage, meals)...
So if for some reason we couldnt fly on the booked date, i dont lose too much money to forgo the tickets....
Only if confirm, then i will add baggage, meals and advance seat (if necessary)....NOTE:for meal you need to book 48 hours before flight...

I also web check-in immediately after paid the ticket (previously 7 days before flight date) without any in-flight service....Why???
Coz when check-in early, there is high tendency you will be seated next to each other (if you travel more than one person in the same itinerary)....
This kinda necessary when u travel with family & kids... so i will save money for advance seat... tongue.gif
Otherwise your seats will be scattered around (system auto allocate)....

If after self check-in i change/upgrade any in-flight service, i just reprint the boarding pass accordingly....
