Sorry to start a new thread today. My samsung monitor failed me two days ago. Now i have a headless amd64 lying around full of movies inside. I have an 32" LG lcd tv in my living room. It has 1x AV, 1x component & 1x HDMI input. Problem is, my pc only have DVI, VGA & svideo output (radeon 9550). I bought a VGA-component cable (rm70) and tried connecting the two but failed. Any ideas how to connect them both? I'll be in lowyat this afternoon so if anyone can giv advice today, itll be very helpful to me. Many thanks all

In Digital Mall, there is a shop selling it. IIRC, 1st floor at the corner near escalator from ground floor. Abt RM40.

DVI-D and HDMI are electrically compatible, try the converter first, it is only RM5 from carrefour as quoted by Skylinestar if all fail the next step is to change graphics card which has HDMI output by the way, not all graphics card support DVI to component video QUOTE "This TV does not support DVI(VIDEO) signal using dvi to HDMI cable" my guess is that the manual is talking about DVI-A, which is an analog video signal, not compatible with HDMI digital signal This post has been edited by neb: Aug 2 2010, 10:49 PM
