Have you tried change the illumination level? AFAIK there's 0%, 50% and 100%
*
the 50% and 100% is pretty much 95% and 100% --" a.k.a. no big difference.
I had my eye on a model named Gigabyte GK-K8100 but asked around no one have the one I need (black body, orange backlit).
Look at Newegg all also out of stock, this model is very old or something? hmm.gif

if noise is a problem, you can try looking at the G710+ that has noise dampeners on each of the keys, the fact it's a Cherry-Mx brown keyboard as well helps a lot with the noise... alternatively you can opt for a cherry-Mx Red keyboard like the Gigabyte Aiviabut yeah you're looking at RM500 to burn for either keyboards.....

The G510? well I hope you can find the old one cause the G510s is about RM450... which defeats the purpose and I'd rather jump straight to the G710+ for a little more RM  smile.gif

+1 i can vouch for G710+ for being silent, as long you're not rage typing like I am tongue.gif

Cm qfr is a good board.

If you are okay with 2nd hand item and the board is fully functional with warranty (recently a guy bought a 2nd hand qfr with a faulty alt), then it is ok to get it.

Alternatively, you can buy chinabrands mech kb from taobao for a little more than that.

We bet to differ. whistling.gif DO note that this is in RMB (china yuan). Also, this isn't exactly the cheapest china mechanical keyboard (but any cheaper than that normally are not very recommended, especially for beginner).

Pay a visit to mech kb thread, we can teach you more on taobao keyboard shopping there if you wish to. nod.gif

This. Or save up a bit and get Ducky Zero, build is like a tank so it will last you quite awhile. The Blackwidow tournament ed is pretty flimsy so I wouldn't recommend it.

Currently i reccomend Quick Fire TK if you can still find it. I bought mine (Red Cherry MX) for around 300~. These keyboards are hybrids, with functionality like a full keyboard but tenkeyless length. And yes, the backlit depends on the type of switch. It's a very good deal for mechanical keyboards.

the quickfire tk is tenkeyless meaning it doesn't have the numpad(which is useless anyway in gaming) while the quickfire pro is standard layout with the numpad.

I suggest you should try the different type of switches before buying any Mechanical Keyboard smile.gif
