I had a problem exactly similiar to your case. I bought it in July 2008, that's means the 2 years warranty expired on July 2010. End of last the picture blur & suck very badly. I called the servive centre to report the problem. The technician knew it very well seem like this is a common problem.

I sent th LCD TV to service centre myself instead of ask the to come to my place to avoid RM25/way transport charge by them.

In shop, the technician just changed the device that called T.COM BOARD to get the picture return to normal. It cost me RM330 (service charge RM150 + spare part RM180). If the technician come to my place, the charge become RM380 (plus RM50 for 2 way transport charge)

If you familiar with changing electronic parts, u better buy this spare part and change it urself. very easy & save ur money. I just want to share, it's up to you.

I bought this LCD way back on July 2008. Now after 2 years serving me awesomely, and after the warranty period expired (on 2nd July 2010), it died, leaving me without any symptom.. daymn!!

Actually, the tv still be be use, the menu appears, the sound still OK, but the problem lies within the colors. I don't know how to define it. (see attachment below)
I just want to ask, has anybody ever experienced the same problem i'm facing right now??

If yes, what do you do? send back to sony services? how much you need to spend??
