QUOTE(perky @ Oct 25 2010, 10:24 AM) For those who owns the razer mamba, i have a quick question here. Does updating the firmware for the dock enchance the performace of the mouse? I don't see any better performance after update the dock or maybe I didn't really notice it at all because it just a charging dock for me. And Mamba battery lifespan sucks

I can order one for you but i'll be back in Malaysia around end of nov, so you have to wait for at least a month. Haha, thanks for the consideration. $25AUS almost RM 80 for battery.

QUOTE(Lil Kiasu @ Oct 30 2010, 04:02 PM) it only works on the TRON set itself... coz the pad's trail is from the mouse's lights from the base as you can see from the video demo... unless you know of poking a hole and placing a LED on the base of you mouse... the glow trail won't appear on a regular mouse~ That why they bundle it up

QUOTE(sai86 @ Nov 1 2010, 01:27 AM) Some guy pre-order it and get d email reply telling them it will be delay.. SourceCan this sauce reliable? We all followed the same date exactly what stated in razerzone? The release of BW, Naga Epic, and SC2 gears are all have the similar shipping date. Just a plan for razer release at once. QUOTE(skyliner66 @ Nov 3 2010, 02:20 PM) i use my Mamba on goliathus and it has very minor jitter isue only...but agree with u that when using the Mamba on hard mat the jitter issue will not appear anymore... I think Ironclad is the best mat to pair with Mamba.

QUOTE(FidelisGVR @ Nov 3 2010, 02:33 PM) i noticed no one did any reviews on the Orca? @ Victor: wanna ask, will amplification improve sound quality on ALL types of headphones/headsets; regardless whether it's a gaming-spec or audiophile? bcoz i'm currently pondering about the combination of the Orca and the Fiio E5/E7. Yeah, need some reviews for Orca. Im had ordered one unit but not yet reach to me. Just want to know which way can make Orca perform nicely.

QUOTE(CoolBoy89 @ Nov 9 2010, 10:13 PM) Way too expensive. RM5xx. For that price I'd rather get myself a mech keyboard. RM 5xx. SC2 keyboard and mouse is around that price i think. Better choice. This post has been edited by zandara: Nov 9 2010, 10:17 PM

QUOTE(shueking @ Nov 10 2010, 12:13 AM) is there a tron headset? Added on November 10, 2010, 12:35 amQUOTE(ooiwbng @ Nov 9 2010, 11:52 PM) okay guys, here's my short review(pun intended) of the mamba The packaging is a well 5/5 as the materials aren't just those cheapskate materials if you know what i mean. Everything is thought out with detail. It took me less than 20 seconds to take the acrylic cover off which I don't know why you people make so much fuss about. Throughout the packaging there's only one thing I do not like; the braided cable. This is due to the fact that it's bended thanks to the way the pack it but it doesn't bother me. Back to the mouse and battery. The mouse itself is an art with the level of details Razer has put into it. The seams, the lights on the dock and the mouse itself, even the clickwheel its so beautiful. It fits my hand comfortably, more comfortable than any mouse I've ever use, be it china or some branded but non-ergonomics oriented mouse and the rubber coating seems to have quality to it(I hope so). When i showed it to my younger brother, he said the mouse was bloody big, which fits my palm as I have a large palm and that was important so that I can use it properly and comfortably. The buttons; I thought the main two buttons would give a whole feeling like the iPhone's home button, but no it kind of gave me a fragile and 'plastic-ky' feeling. Even the DPI change buttons felt better, but that's because its smaller, I guess... The side buttons are very easy to click but of course not that easy that you'll be able to click it unintentionally. They're tactile and placed strategically so that you'll be able to click it effortlessly be it the forward or backwards, it's the same, only depending on how do you want to press it. Some may complain that there isn't a little finger rest, but I don't find the need for it as I'm used to dragging it along because it also acts like a tail of a monkey providing extra control and precision. The buttons of the mouse are as they are, no cons nor pros because well, they work as they are. Moving on from the buttons department to the underside. Based on what I've read from reviews and user opinions about how fast you can go from wired to wireless, it is true that you can't remove it quickly cause it's snugged in tightly when you're in wired mode which is good because it ensures that you wire won't come out while you're half way sentencing some noobs to headshots but this comes with a disadvantage. Being locked in tightly, you need force to remove the wire to enable wireless mode so my advice is to turn it off prior to removing the chord and this is why you can't change modes easily. The wireless feature is just awesome, no delays (1ms ultrapolling might be a gimmick which I don't care as even with Microsoft's wireless mouse it still doesn't lag at all) at all. Pairing is a breeze, press once on the dock and once on the mouse, voila~ you're ready to go. The battery is awesome as it lasted me a whole day and being a Li-po battery, you can literally charge it whenever you want but of course, over the charge cycles you'll begin to loose the ability to retain a full 100% charge which is common with ALL rechargeable batteries. Also the weight is just nice as I prefer heavy mouse as it gives me more control thus more precision. The Z-axis problem. This is something new to me as I've never experienced to me but it's normal as when you lift any mouse, naturally there'd be some movement right? (unless you're some perfectionist that wants to lift it perfectly vertically..swt..) I don't want to talk about the driver and firmware as I don't use it except for DPI adjustments. ----for now this is what i can think of what to say, so if you've got any qns, post below and i'll reply accordingly---- Nice review anyway. But the battery part, my mamba will automatically turn it off when it is full charged on dock. Is it still charging although it is off? [ This post has been edited by zandara: Nov 10 2010, 12:35 AM
