This thread is quite pointless. Games usually only consume less than 300kbps of bandwidth. It's only the stability of the connection will affect the quality.

yup they will be other factors which could affect the gameplay or connection stabilty.

Also, at least can learn something from your post. If i dont get you wrongly, consume less than 300 kbps means streamyx lowest package (384 kbps) is good enough.

It may seem pointless but I believe its not completely pointless.
eg. if playing with dial up can support, a lot of people can easily join.
if only suitable at 20 mb, its gonna be an obstacle for a lot of people

Folks need to learn bandwidth has very little to do with how smooth gaming will be.

Latency is not the same as speed.

As moonflow said, stability (do you get disconnected all the time?), quality (how much signal loss you have? How many packet lost?) and architecture (how many hops to destination?) are what is important.

Does streamyx even have 20Mbs for non-business line?

-.-, 0 delays is 99%, slow map downloading i really duno wat happen, as for the disconnecting thing, i pressed window tab, and it hangs there, so it shows up the "waiting for me" blabla thing.

streamyx haf something called unifi which have 5,10,20 mbps at selected locations. And at those selected locations, some locations are only for business only

yes... it is all about latency and sufficient bandwidth.
I would agree on this is a pointless thread as thread starter has no idea what is connection speed about.

totally agree with gormaz! Bandwidth has nothing to do with how smooth gaming would be. Bandwidth is just a measurement. It's the clockrate set by our ISP that's important. Correct me if I'm wrong

For games like this, it's not bandwidth that matters, but the LATENCY..

it depends on the stability of the line actually...
but to ensure everything is on order without any bandwidth issue...1mbps to be safe...
so u still can let ur msn, skype on while u play biggrin.gif
