Well, just got the BT and one word - Nice! Fits nicely to the Desire and still give it a slim profile. Fits perfectly to the pouch as well. Its tight but not as in very hard to put in.

Regarding the battery, well, there is report saying that the lifespan is shorter but of course, draining it fully wont kill it immediately

One thing though, the CM SP is slightly smaller than the screen. I didnt use it but applied another DC Mugen SP that i bought previously. I changed from Matte to Gloss and the difference is amazing. To be honest, running the AMOLED screen on matte SP really does not bring justice to the AMOLED. It looks so much nicer now that i have applied the gloss SP. Strongly recommended to anyone that is currently on matte though.

just got mine today as well.. and yeah.. the screen protector does not fit the whole screen though.. yet the case fits perfectly. I was thinking how to fit my phone into it without scratching it..

anyone know whether LYN here has seller for the microUSB sync/charge cable for Desire?  I want to get 2 pieces extra - 1 for office and 1 for home.

1. No, everything remains the same after you rooted (it just gives you super user permission). Data is only lost when you do a wipe before flashing a new ROM

3. Nandroid in the recovery mode can do that (you can backup image back to the original state of last backup ROM). But if you're talking about restoring settings to a new ROM (after you do a wipe), use Titanium backup. In general, the steps are:

- Root
- Backup with Titanium backup
- Boot into recovery
- Nandroid backup
- Wipe
- Flash new ROM
- Restore settings with Titanium Backup

If something fails while flashing new ROM, restore the Nandroid image

and do note when flashing ROM you can still recover using the nandroid backup. but you need to be extremely careful when flashing radio, if you screwed, you'll need to send it back to htc/sis...flashing radio is easy but have dangerous effect if you're screwed.

No. If you want to flash with the RUU to get back the unrooted version, all you need to is is make sure your phone have at least 30% battery, plug in the USB cable (doesn't matter whether its in HTCSync mode or Disk Drive mode), launch the RUU and keep pressing next. It will automatically finish up everything for you, including flashing to stock Eclair, stock radio etc. No need any Zip files. Zip files only required when you want to flash to Custom Roms.

The file I pasted just now (Official RUU for Android 2.1) will make your HBOOT becomes 0.80

To flash the RUU, you just need to - install HTC Sync driver, run the EXE and plugin your cable - everything will be wiped and replaced with stock ROM.

I tested via the SD Card speed test app on the phone. Class 6, 7mb write, 6mb read. doing it the 2nd time says that it's class4 instead so i concluded that the test is not accurate. will test again on the desktop later this evening.

There is a USB Drive speed tester program called Sandra that can do that but that is on USB drive. Not sure whether you can do that on Memory Card or not. Another program that is quite reliable is called ATTO. Do remember, even OS will affect the speed of the memory card.
