Fair enough , i like to share with you guys. I've information from an insider which I've called. Its true , they is a if condition , if your avi site is not from a list (dont ask me what list , i am guessing whitelisted video sites) your file would be throttled
Do a simple test , rename your mkv as blahaf.jpg and transfer , it will be fast. So i am not sure about your torrent provider , if they allow you to so , you may want to rename it as jpg or gif or png or some other format and transfer across and then rename it back. Next time when posting dont boast your god damn speeds , like ZOMG 1Mbps streamyx can download 500 via rapidcrap |

Stop using Hotspot Shield and abusing their service. Seriously , if you want to download your stuff just get a personal stuff. Folks like you who abuse and get our IP range blacklisted for many US sites
Honestly , keep your torrent stuff elsewhere like ppstream. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jul 31 2010, 09:49 PM) Its good as long some nice guy does not use it for Xunlei , its good. Just keep it to minimal QUOTE(Ivangile @ Jul 31 2010, 09:50 PM) Sure , just keep it to minimal. What I am worried is that if a lot of people use it , they may block Malaysians from connectingThey used to be free shell (free linux service) and our IP range has been banned due to abuse Thanks for sharing Here are some fee few VPN services http://proxpn.com/ http://www.thefreevpn.com/ - they have a VPN to china as well http://www.ultravpn.fr/ Hotspot shield as ivan pointed out Dont just abuse , when I say abuse. Please dont use too much , torrent , download your god damn MKVs via rapidcrap , your private p2p server. Think about the rest The reason why I am sharing with you some of the services which I've used and which I've tested is kind of secure is because I understand some of you want some form of entertainment |

They block torrent and other stuff , I mean you keep pirated stuff within yourself. Thats all , just dont hog the lines. Its like our drivers , even on the fast lane there will be on guy who will be driving @ 60 km/h. Its like that , you're causing the rest of us to suffer , just dont think about yourself. Thats my advice
By all means use it to watch ppstream , but just dont over do it in sense that ppstream + torrent download + download from your server + download rapidshare and a lot of things. |

Well sad but true , the reason why other countries they dont do this. Just look at singapore , those guys earn a lot , so they have enough disposable income to buy original dvds and such . Here one dvd costs a lot , therefore it makes it impossible especially fresh grads to buy em. Thus resorting to torrent , or by other means.
TM on the other hand like a monopolist cares about profit. Most likely they would just say well this is unlimited , but we will thorttle you or you may pick our unifi , pay more and get capped ! |

DDL of .rar , .zip , .001 or whatever are just okay , its just that if the filename contains .mkv.001 , then yes , or .mkv.part1 , if its inside a rar then there is no way it can see it.
They are experimenting as well , oh yeah I can say this that they are monitoring twitter and umm this thread as well. |

Ever you ever wondered how some bloggers are caught eventhough they try to stay anonymous . Think about that and apply a similar concept to itAlways remember that Big Brother is watching you , heck even in the US .think of how RIAA tracks you down and sues you ! |

I guess it must be TM's way of saying
"Oh you want to download your porn collection. How about UniFi , its fast , yes it has cap , but wait we dont stop you. Go ahead and download" At the end , your streamyx + VPN + Megaupload = cost of UniFi Some would just say , screw it and I would rather get UniFi. |

QUOTE(cshong @ Aug 7 2010, 12:05 PM) Off topic. But also want to say. Take out government bashing stuff/trolling elsewhere. This is about network , its not about government of Malaysia or what-so-ever. Honestly , we are concerned about how TM deals with this situation. Before you ask such question, ask them what they had done to their citizen first. What they had done to our country. Those ministers just everyday sit and enjoy air-cond at their own offices and do nothing, just attend some meetings when they like to. That is it, but at the same time their salary are at least 100x higher than the citizen who are hard-working. Same as other people, I paid taxes to feed their staffs. At the end, they all just forget that their salary come from the taxes paid by citizen. We all have different view of points , some say shut off torrent , others say shut off pps , some say enforce cap. Our income group is different , we are different. I just love how people compare ZOMG JAPAN/SINGAPORE HAS THE FASTEST INTERNET. Before you get into that , think of a lot of external factors. |

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Aug 9 2010, 10:14 AM) Abuse and the rest of us get banned for using free vpn service if the internet is being censored or if you want to view a region specific site. Typical Malaysian attitude "screw the rest , let me abuse". I dont think any FreeVPN allows you to torrent ! |

Thats my way of expressing it out.Anyway , V2 is needed once we have exceeded 2500 posts The thing that needs to be done is that to channel voice out in papers , as somebody mentioned earlier with good suggestions. |

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Aug 9 2010, 10:04 PM) sorry guys, it is my fault. They block ,seriously. If you want to torrent , go get a cheap paid VPN and use it - make sure it offers good routing to your IP. Some will give you crappy speeds. They can't sniff traffic with VPN i think i had made a mistake, because after i setup and the torrent speed boost to the max, but now didn't works Anyway , I just want a win-win situation for both. As some pointed out capping , enabling peak and off peak hours , and few other stuff. You can't have unlimited bandwidth , there is needs and wants. I know TM's ways of managing shit sucks , they have to admit on that. So therefore TM has to come up with a solution that benefits both customer and their equipment as well. |
